Yes, soften the hands it looks like she can't move her head and that is making her anxious and dread the whole thing.

whats she like if you took your spurs off and rode her without as you say shes explodes at times . you could really wrap your legs around her and keep her straight then and maybe that would help you. shes a chestnut sensitive type you say maybe try without .
