John Bonjiovi is his name. I may have spelled it wrong cuz it might be a g instead of a j but I think I got it right. So is name is John bongiovi, Italian.. shorten the name into a band and the rest is history as they say.. I heard this story out though was cool. So some high school class teacher asked him what you going to do with your life if you don't apply yourself to your studies? He looked at her and said I'm going to be a giant rock and roll star!. I think it's crazy because you know there must be tons of people that are in school saying I'm going to be actor or I'm going to be a hip hop star or whatever. Obviously his was one that came to pass. I'm paraphrasing all this but apparently this teacher said nah nah you're not and you need to concentrate on your work in school and your homework out of school. So the same teacher asked him again a few weeks later. He gave her the same answer, that he was going to be a rockstar. I bet that teacher looked back in hindsight and thought that 8 would have been better off to probably meet him halfway when it came to his dream and not telling that nah you're not going to be able to do this so pay attention to your work. I'm sorry we're so long but I get kind of excited since I wasn't around at that time and I get tight when I hear or listen to this old rock. If you were lucky enough to be around, you were lucky. Guns and Roses is my go-to band when it comes to pretty much all bands. I just have Guns and Roses as my personal favorite. All I know about these older bands is directly through people that I asked in life and online, everything I know basically for the most part comes from those documentaries and KZbin videos for the most part. So what I said that if you happened to be around when these bands were popping like Bon Jovi and Guns and Roses, you're really fortunate. I say this because I'll never be able to see the guns and roses that people got an opportunity see when Axl Rose voice was incredible. A few weeks back I was checking out a video of Guns and Roses doing a concert before the virus came down on us. His voice is toast. This made me sad for a few reasons. I feel for Axl Rose but also I feel for anybody that would like to go see them and they will never be able to hear what he sounded like 30 years ago

Grew up in NJ. Bon Jovi to the north, Springsteen to the south! Jersey men rock. Greatest concerts ... ever!!! Oh... they still tour. You can go! Jon Bon Jovi and Ritchie Zambora wrote the music. Ritchie talented guitar player. I saw him play 17 different guitars in one concert. Unfortunately, he has some family issues and left the tour. Caused a bit of a issue with Jon but Ritchies daughter needs him.

Amazing in concert! Saw them in 87, got to the venue super early, parked in line at the gates that opened 6 hours later, started raining, we ordered pizza and the guy just happened to arrive as a thunderstorm hit, he came back in the rain several times. Doors opened hours later, I was on crutches but didn’t want to use them, tossed back a few Tylenol w/codeine, got in the arena, immediate contact high lol. I miss the 80s.

You wouldn’t recognize him if he walked past you? I believe you. I didn’t. 1988 in Knoxville Tennessee. I was leaving a business meeting in a high rise office building. I was thirsty and saw a water fountain so I walked over and waited for the long haired guy in front of me to finish his sip of water. After he finished, he turned around and looked at me for 3 to 5 seconds, then he walked off. It was uncomfortable, why is this guy just standing there looking at me and blocking the water fountain? When I finished my sip of water I turned around to see the girls behind the front counter losing their shit. I asked what’s going on. They said that was Jon Bon Jovi!!! I was a fan but did not expect to see him like that. That 3 to 5 seconds was him being accommodating in case I did recognize and wanted to speak to him.
