I completely agree with you on your fitness mentality. I'm a marathoner and whilst I train to compete, I also train to feel good and look my best. I like feeling confident in what I wear. I also work out on holiday as I like to do things I genuinely enjoy and so does my partner. Confident body, confident mind!

Refreshing to hear your opinion on the calorie / workout hate you received, your mind set is entirely healthy and positive! People who are complaining about this don't understand the meaning behind it and an actual healthy mentality, so kick off whenever they hear anything about calories ❤️👌

New viewer here. Love seeing the reality of living a life where you work out. You show the real stuff. Different from other you tubers I think. I appreciate the real life. You even show yourself making those faces we all make when we work out. Love that you keep it real.

I actually really enjoy these vlogs because they're so different from my own life. I definitely can't relate to a lot of the activities going on but that's why I keep on coming back so I can see what you've been up to. It's really interesting and intriguing for me to see and I actually took note of a few healthy eating recommendations on your Instagram the other day so it's clearly a positive influence too! Keep up the awesome work.

I’m happy to see you not get too worked up about the comment! You guys live a really healthy lifestyle, I like how you show the balance. You don’t always work out loads and you don’t always eat in excess. I think it’s more frustrating that you are being honest and judged for it, but there are a lot of influencers who aren’t honest about how they achieve their look/body, lie to be relatable, and put on a pedestal for it. I love your vlogs and how relatable/real they are! Btw I went back through your videos to find your casetify code after I saw your phone case 😂

Loved this! You are spot on about health/food and excercise. I have been on a cruise and the about of food that is available to you at all hours is unbelievable. You could easily put on 10 pounds by the end of your trip. 💗🏋️♀️💗

Whilst I agree that it’s of course important to maintain good diet and exercise, I think it’s also important to recognise the language being used around ‘earning’ food, can unfortunately be interpreted more as a diet culture mentality. Absolutely no hate at all as I can 100% understand your point of view, I just think it’s important to understand the nuances around that way of phrasing it, and how it feeds into this unhealthy narrative of not being allowed certain foods unless you’ve earned them. I think it’s also important to recognise the difference between excess in the short time (eg a short holiday) and excess throughout daily lifestyle as they are completely different things. Hope that comes across well as just trying to explain a different point of view, and I appreciate it’s impossible to please everyone when you have such a big platform. Love your videos ☺️

So sad you decided not to go to Marseille!! I went over the bank holiday weekend with my boyfriend and it’s one of the most beautiful, friendly places I have ever been- like I felt more safe than when I’m in London weirdly. I also was unsure at first but I’m so glad I went. If you ever get the chance again I’d recommend

Fab vlog!💗 I also agree with you on the healthy image/exercise thing! If you are going to eat to excess over a period of time then exercise is good, but it's also okay to have a cheat day with no exercise. Balance with a capital B 😏😂 more influencers need to get this message accross in my opinion!

I think it's just that that mindset can be extremely triggering for those people with EDs. But to someone without disordered eating it may seen insignificant. But you can't really control who watches the videos, calorie tracking does work for some people including Zoe, and she's just being honest by sharing, and she is pretty justified as fitness is also part of her career. It's just not a good idea if you have disordered eating. Learn what works for you and what triggers you. If you find Zoe's lifestyle around diet and exercise triggering then maybe choose not to watch. I think it's important for influencers to acknowledge those opinions though that may differ from their own and not laugh at them or invalidate them.

I do love your vlogs Zoe and it's clear you are a truly nice person who would never mean any harm. As someone working in the mental health field, to explain the issue of the food comment - The issue with the food comment is more complex than what was said here. The issue is that people with eating disorders feel they have to exercise to earn food, for example if they want a biscuit later they will make sure they exercise 3x the amount needed simply to lose the calories gained from that biscuit. So actually saying it's perfectly fine if 'you want to exercise more to eat more' is a dangerous statement for someone with an eating disorder. In normal circumstances for someone with no eating disorder tendencies, I agree it's fine to promote exercising so you feel you can have that nice treat later, but for people with eating disorders their brains will amplify that message to an extreme and cause extreme exercise for any food. Just something to perhaps consider - there may be some people watching your videos going through mental illness and/or an eating disorder so comments like that may be potentially triggering or damaging when of course you don't intend for them to be, that is all :) x

Unfortunately, you can't live life frightened of saying anything & it's not for anyone else to pander to strangers with eating disorders. Except maybe loved ones who want to.
@annaclared_2 жыл бұрын
@@hlexo7 I completely disagree. That’s like saying it’s acceptable to walk around speaking disgusting or horrible views but it’s fine because you’re not ‘pandering’ to peoples problems if they’re offended. It’s really simple and easy to live life being mindful of other people. Not difficult

Hi Zoe love you channel and vlogs! While I do agree and understand your mindset regarding calorie intake /exercise, I do think it also pays to be mindful of how others may react, especially those who suffer with disordered eating. Given your relatively large following I imagine there are plenty of people who could take this the wrong way and feel they have to earn their food or feel guilty for over indulgence. No offence meant but perhaps be a little more considerate to these people when posting that sort of content x
