i'm glad you guys had fun. i went w my BFF of 2-odd decades. we're both gay, my partner died about 5 years ago and we both struggle to make new connections for fun and romance as your neuro-atypicals do at times yanno. this was our first pride event. i think... 2 people who were not park workers spoke to us the entire night and just to make mindless, slightly strained chit-chat. to clarify we were dressed in our queer best, smiled, waved, and tried to engage but pretty much we felt like we were ghosts or creatures straight off the slab the whole night. we were there by ourselves and it certainly felt that way. i'm torn as to whether or not i'd try again next year it felt so uncomfortable. i suppose we had fun as we were at a theme-park but as a pride event, i did not feel welcome. i am glad so many people had fun, i'm just sad i wasn't one of them. it was a very surreal experience.

I don't think this type of event is meant to be like a night out at a gay bar, if that's what you were expecting. Especially with the way the world is scrutinizing everything the "gay community" does right now. This, like any other Disney after hours ticketed event, is meant for you to go with your family and friends, enjoy the "special" food and photo offerings, and maybe some rides. The difference is that you wont be subject to those raging Karens giving you stone-hard looks for, say, holding your partner's hand while waiting for Space Mountain.

This is so cool. I came out as a transgender man 11 years ago. 2 surgeries and MANY shots of testosterone later i couldn’t be a happier man. I’m so glad that me and ALL the other LGBTQIA people to feel love and acceptance at Disneyland. A place that previously wouldn’t let people of the same sex DANCE together, let alone be queer or gender nonconforming so openly. Thank you Mondo and Monica for enjoying the night and showing us what Pride night at Disneyland is all about 🏳️‍⚧️❤🏳️‍🌈

We were there and it was awesome. Glad to have been at the first official Pride Nite. First time that Disney has hosted a Disney Pride event. Hopefully this will be a yearly event. Both nights sold out. The Governor of California was there showing support.
