Whoever decided to release all four of the debut songs all at once messed up big time. Hype Boy could have had a bunch of music show wins if it had been released a couple of weeks or a month after Attention.

@@videokmkNah, you have no idea how they debut. No pre-release, no promotion, no teaser, nothing at all. All because the chairman of their company Hybe was busy working for the debut of another group. The CEO of their label (which is a subsidiary of the company) basically took a big gamble and it paid off. You can research and read more.

@@kelvinkwok5305 My guy, I got into Kpop right when they debuted. Attention and Hype Boy was competing against each other on many of the music shows. New Jeans was competing against themselves. Hype Boy finally got a music show win a year and a half after they debuted. Debuting all four songs and having music videos for them was definitely unprecedented. So you think if their songs were released the normal way, they would not have been successful and Hype Boy would still not have won any music shows?

yeah you get it :) their first ep is 90s rnb, omg and ditto mini ep was like a transitinal sound .. still essentially 90s rnb but introducing faster, dancier elements that led on their greatest ep imo lol.. GETUP EP which was predominantly 90s UK garage but fused with similar '90s clubland' sounds like Jersey Club and Drum and Bass with some small elements of Miami Bass as well.. then bubblegum which was a weird one a brill song but kinda more 80s rnb/citypop... then howsweet their first full on miami bass song :) you should check out the unhelpful guide to them 2024 version to get to know the members and just how super talented they all are

I think the reason kPOP fans are engaging is because these groups are very engaging back to the fans. They consistently go live with their fans and they are not evening promoting anything. You get content from them so get to connect with them. I don't think western artist have done it at this level. They might appear after disappearing for 3 years and go on a promo tour then you don't hear from them for another 3 years.

Also if you are planning on doing more newjeans videos just a few things you must now; 'ditto' is very story driven video and has 2 parts 'side a' and 'side b' both sides must be watched for the full experience and story 'omg' follows on and make sure you watch the official mv and NOT the performance one as the offical mv somewhat carries on the story of 'ditto' 'Cool with you' is also very story driven and also has 2 sides again both need to be watched. I think thats it the rest of their songs do in whatever order you like :)
