Oh good gracious! Raising kids is hard enough without parents criticizing each other over small choices. MG isn't even two yet and is capable of putting together some pretty lofty sentence structures, especially considering her age. She also can listen to what Katie and Cullen are saying and can almost always find a way to express the thoughts she's having or can answer questions that are difficult for other children her age to grasp. So, those of you criticizing their use of the paci for MG is just ridiculous. If that is the biggest parenting flaw then we should all count Gaines' blessings! A lot of you haven't been around very long and so you didn't see when Katie was working full time outside the home. Let's just say that Katie is an incredibly humble individual that has quite a few degrees that make her expertly qualified to make the best decisions for child development and rearing. You know, other than being the mom, which should be the only reason she needs for anything. If MG is hitting up middle school and still rockin' the paci, I will gladly eat crow. Since there is still another decade before she's at that point, I think the parenting should probably be left to, *SURPRISE*, the parents. 😆

OMG people stay out of their business about the pacifier and car seat and what not. She is still a baby herself and doesn't need to grow up all of a sudden because she has a baby brother. They are taking care of their kids and know what's best for them. I think they are handling it very well.

Nannying trick: leave a packed diaper bag and a packed bag for Gaines in the trunk. Make sure it has some non perishable snacks, a soppy cup, a change of clothes, paci, diapers, wipes, and some toys for Gaines and diapers, wipes, clothes, pacis, and.whatever mommy may need in Brooks bag. If you use anything then just replace it before you go out the next time! I also kept a pool bag in there in summer and some extra warm clothes in winter. This way I just had to grab what we needed for the specific trip from the house and my purse and we were out!! I knew everything I needed was in the car and it was really helpful with 3 kids under 3!! Everyone (including the parents) were amazed at how fast I could get them all out of the house!!
