First firing of the Glowing Plant Gene gun

We finally got all the parts we need to reconstruct our second hand gene gun, and this video shows our first firing. In the video you can see us replicating the first ever gene gun experiment, firing tungsten coated nano-particles coated in DNA at onion cells. Approximately 1% of the onion cells should absorb the DNA and start creating green fluorescent protein.
In future experiments we will be firing the DNA sequences which code for the lux operon at Arabidopsis stem cells in order to create our glowing plant.

If you fire it at the same sample 100 times does that mean it will be 100% into a piece of glowing onion (Even though it would probably be really expensive)

When you flip a coin, there is a 50% chance of it landing on heads. If you flip the coin twice, will 100% of the tosses be heads?

It also kills a lot of cells. Probably shooting it few times will give you mostly dead cells.
