As a retired private pilot, I’ve come to enjoy the modern world of radio control flying. Lately, watching videos of RC events has become part of hunkering down for the evening. Every worthwhile pursuit always has its small group of those who continue to push their respective envelope. You’re among those who breath that rarified air, yet you never fail to bring the element of fun into the mix. You’ve never failed to impress, and have since become a model for the uncompromising spirit of pursuing and achieving excellence. That spirit shows in the beauty of the planes you build, and your off-the-charts piloting skills. Thanks for a nice ending to a long, hard day. I’m glad the Lizard went through her paces flawlessly. Onward and upward! Cheers!

Helps break apart any big air bubbles in the UAT, and filter them through while on the ground without risk, rather than having them potentially cause a flame out... Thats a theory, not sure if it works, but doesn't harm trying!

Hi, you are landing with Vector ore without? I have damage the Landung gear three times on Gras Why ist comes realy fast. 😬
@MartinPickering-PickeringRC4 жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel, I fly with vector on always. At landing though, it makes no difference, as there is no thrust over the pipe so it doesn't generate any pitch change... I landed a bit fast in these videos, next day I have changed CG back a little and will try again, I think that mine is a little nose heavy still, and also can increase canard angle of attack so it is more nose up, then should be ok

While I was a child back in the 70’s, I day dreamt of flying an RC plane ✈️ and sometimes driving a RC tank. This is not what I had in my mind. This is much crazier sh1t!

I never thought RC would become like this. Giant hovering jets with real jet engines, too cool! Love the design and paint job on this one in particular. Also had those RC day dreams, eventually got into flying, and now seeing 3d jets like this makes me feel like a kid again. I wonder, could that maybe be me flying a beast like that one day? Aspirational.

You should get into FPV. You and I are the same age. I've been doing it since 2013 and it's a great hobby. It's all digital now, so you can fly and view the flight in first person 1080p video on video goggles you wear. The control link is solid too. Almost no complete failsafes. In the event that your plane/quad does fs, you can have the onboard autopilot or FC(flight controller) fly it back to your location.
