In this video I detail and ceramic coat this 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands Edition. The interior was in good shape and just needed a quick detail. I completed a single stage correction before applying the ceramic coating to get the most amount of gloss before locking in the condition of the paint with the coating.

Thanks Soc, I appreciate you 🤜 🤛! I like cordless for the mobility, but it definitely lacks the speed to dry pads our when I use the pad washer...same issue you had with the cordless rotary you had a while back. I can usually get the entire car done on a single charge, which is great. Only car I had to recharge in the middle of was a wagoneer and I had to do multiple passes in some spots so I think I could have done the entire car on one charge. There are still some GP products I use, but I've switched to only using DIY coatings over the past month or so. I was having issues with the second coat when using GP and finally decided to switch. I was happy with the performance once it was done, but I had to redo some panels once because the coating flash-cured on me and I couldn't remove it.

@@alfredautospa gotcha. Yes the cordless is great but the issue is sometimes the high rpm which sometimes you’ll have to go back. Yeah I was the same with GP Graphene but then I switched over to roar at the time now it’s mainly DIY and Owners Pride practically.

Curious how well does ceramic coating hold up to frigid cold and road salt?

It shouldn't have any issues with the cold once cured and the only issue it would have with road salt is that the salt can clog the coating and make it look like it's failing. Any quality coating should be able to withstand road salts without much issue. You'll see the top half of the vehicle bead and repel water well but the bottom half where the road salt is heavy, you'll probably see little to no water beading because the coating is clogged. However, the coating is still protecting the paint. When that happens, you'd want to use a product like Optimum MDR (mineral deposit remover) or DIY detail Water Spot Remover (similar product as MDR) after washing to help dissolve those minerals clogging the coating. That should bring the beading and the gloss back. In the video i'm currently editing I had a truck in for a coating maintenance detail and I used DIY Water Spot Remover to help clean those lower panels.
