@@rickygreen1756 What food ? Really ? This is either bad trolling or just lack of food knowledge. Oh well. I could tell you about the bouillabaisse, bœuf bourguignon, gratin dauphinois, pot-au-feu, crêpes, foie gras, quiche, fondue, ratatouille, blanquette, choucroute, croissants, or, you know, bread ? You know the one basic dish Italy doesn’t have since all the breads it makes are bland (although I don’t think they need it, since, you know, pizza and pastas...). And do not start me on cheese (between 1200 and 1500 differents types estimated)! But to be honest, it depends what region you ask : Rhône Alpes, the region of Paul Bocuse ? Quenelles, praline pie, freaking salami (saucisson), bugnes, some cheeses like St Marcellin or Cerveau de Canut, … Burgundy ? Except the enormous variety of red wines ? Bœuf bourguignon, poulet à la Gaston, chiken on wine, bourguignone fondue, escargots, patouille, … Britain ? Salidou (salted butter caramel), Kouign Amann, salted butter, galettes, crêpes, … Savoie ? Tartiflette, fondue savoyarde, raclette-HELL just by naming their cheeses : reblochon, emmenthal, tomme de savoie, abondance, beaufort, chevrotin *to name a few* . I’m sorry for Italy, but just by naming savoyard cheeses it’s many more than the italian ones I know (and I know like 10 at most, wich is the double of most people). Not to spit on italian food, *hell, it’s one of the reasons my nutritionnist asked me to stop calling him* and clearly there is no way to know wich one is better (french cuisine is immensely various, complex and delightful, while italian is the opposite, simple and effective. I could go on and on for hours but clearly a simple web research is enough. But wines ? Oh boy. If food is a tie, there is no comparison for wine. Burgundy has 84 different wines among wich the world best wine in 2021, Mouton Rothschild 2018. Rhone has like 30. Gironde alone, which is not a region but the county of Bordeaux, has 38 of them, and PACA, although has officially only 8, is known worldwide for it’s rosé, just like Burgundy is for it’s red wines. I can’t think of an italian region that can claim the same, maybe I’m wrong, which in that case correct me, but you can’t create shit like this : just in Burgundy, the UNESCO has declared World Heritage (and I’m not shitting you) it’s climate. Yeah ! Burgundy’s climate is WH because of the wines it creates ! The more you know ! But if you need names : Cotes du Rhone, Bordeaux, Saint-emilion, château-neuf-du-pape, chardonnay, rosé, médoc, champagne (of course), chablis, muscadet. I can’t give you much more since I don’t drink… But œnologues can, and they sure as shit will tell you that there are plenty more and better wines than Italy. Just this year Russia rebranded french rosé wines to lower it’s sells because it hugely overshadowed the russian ones. I’m sure Italy is better than France in many things, but I’m certain WINE (and cheese) is not one of them.

Quack quack quack, quack quack quack, Quack quack quack quacka. In English! Små grodorna (Swedish for "The Little Frogs") is a traditional Swedish dance and song traditionally performed at midsummer, where the participants dance around the maypole. The dance involves movements that illustrate body parts that frogs lack, namely "ears" (öron) and "tails" (svansar). Occasionally, Små grodorna is also sung at Christmas, but instead of dancing around the maypole, Swedes dance around the Christmas tree. The melody originates from the refrain of a military march from the French Revolution, "La Chanson de l'Oignon" ("The Onion Song"),[1] with the text "Au pas, camarade, au pas camarade / au pas, au pas, au pas!" ("In step, comrade"). The enemies of the French at the time, the British, changed the text with condescending irony to "Au pas, grenouilles!" ("In step, little frogs"). The melody is still in use in a French children's song with the original lyrics "Au pas camarades", and is also used on military occasions. It is not known how the melody ended up in Sweden, but the Swedish lyrics are clearly inspired by the English version. Although the song is not often performed outside Sweden, hundreds of examples of people singing and dancing "Små grodorna" have been uploaded to KZbin, and the performance groups range in size from backyard family parties to multiple thousands gathered in fields and public parks. It has also been sung by Swedish KZbinr PewDiePie during an episode of the game Prop Hunt. The actress Caroline Lagerfelt can be heard singing the song in Steven Spielberg's Minority Report. In the film Peter Stormare plays an eye doctor and Lagerfelt plays his nurse. She subsequently replaces the "ears" (öron) mentioned in the song with "eyes" (ögon). Traditional lyrics in Swedish: Små grodorna, små grodorna är lustiga att se. Små grodorna, små grodorna är lustiga att se. Ej öron, ej öron, ej svansar hava de. Ej öron, ej öron, ej svansar hava de. Kou ack ack ack, kou ack ack ack, kou ack ack ack ack kaa. Kou ack ack ack, kou ack ack ack, kou ack ack ack ack kaa.[2] English translation: The little frogs, the little frogs are funny to observe. The little frogs, the little frogs are funny to observe. No ears, no ears, no tails do they possess. No ears, no ears, no tails do they possess. Kou ack ack ack, kou ack ack ack, kou ack ack ack ack kaa. Kou ack ack ack, kou ack ack ack, kou ack ack ack ack kaa. A more literal English translation: The small frogs, the small frogs are funny to see. The small frogs, the small frogs are funny to see. No ears, no ears, no tails have they. No ears, no ears, no tails have they. Croak croak croak, croak croak croak, Croak croak croak croak a. Croak croak croak, croak croak croak, Croak croak croak croak a. There is also a second verse featuring pigs, sung as a contrast to the first part: Små grisarna, små grisarna är lustiga att se. English translation: The little pigs, the little pigs are funny to observe. The little pigs, the little pigs are funny to observe. Both ears, both ears and tails do they possess. Both ears, both ears and tails do they possess. Oh oink oink oink, oh oink oink oink, oh oink oink oink oink oink Oh oink oink oink, oh oink oink oink, oh oink oink oink oink oink I think it is quite funny that this song is one of the most popular in Sweden, very few know that the Små Grodorna are French soldiers! You find plenty of videos on KZbin of the Swedish song!

I’ve been learning to sing some war tunes from the 18th-19th centuries (such as The Girl I Left Behind Me & Der Hohenfriedberger Marsch) but this one struck me as funny enough to learn to do a french accent and sing this one too
