Watch Orange County Musician, Tic Norasingh, tell his story about leaving Laos to escape persecution. The video was produced by his son Takoune Norasingh as part of a school project. We hope all of you are staying safe during these uncertain times and would like to remind the artists who follow our page that sheltering in place shouldn’t stop your creativity. One day our quarantine will end. Use this time to grow as artists and to find inspiration in the mundane.

Thank you for sharing your story. My parents are refugees and swam across the Mekong River to the refuge camps in Thailand too.

This is a fantastic video... telling your story which not many of your friends really knew. WOW 11 years old. You are a survivor! Love you Tic! Always stay the way you are today...

Thank you for sharing this. I too am a first generation and your dad's story is very similar to my father's. He too swam to safety across the Mekong and eventually made his way to the U.S.
