Haha Lauren! Fellow NYC’er here. You can usually lift the panel of the AC and twist a knob to stop heat flowing to the AC, then you can go back to cooling :) I keep my living room one on heat, and my bedroom always has cold air available because I’m the same way

LOVE MY HOUSE COLD!! I can NOT be hot in any way, shape or form! If I'm sweaty, I'm miserable. My a/c is on right now. If I'm cold, I can layer my clothes, bed, etc. Take away the heat, humidity, bugs, mosquitoes, snakes, and give me cool, cobalt blue skies in the fall!❤️

We keep it cooler, but you can’t run a/c when it’s already cold outside 😂 think about it - if it’s 40 outside and you want it 60 inside, you still run heat. It may not be much, but it’s still warmer inside than outside

Be sure to use your heater in the Winter. Last year we lost power during a storm & our pipes froze. We had to stay in a hotel for a week. It was a nightmare. Thankfully I didn’t have major damage, but I guess some of the other apartments did. It took months to repair them.

I love the new do!! 😍😍😍 NYC has the best colorist and hairstylist in the World!! It does take all day, though! But definitely worth it!! I was going to ask if the Truffle Salt was any good!?! I had the same a/c problem! Its ice inside! It takes a while to melt, but it forms when the a/c works over time or get blocked up. We were closing some of the vents in our place to try to redirect the airflow to the hotter rooms and it caused it to freeze up.

Omg girl i’m only in the beginning of the video but the story about bacon? Same! I thought i didn’t like bacon anymore cause i wasn’t enjoying it but I was eating it cause my boyfriend always wanted it, but now i’m pretty obsessed with it 😂 i think maybe because I’m buying better quality bacon now? Maybe it was psychological cause the one we were buying before looked weird? Idk but now I am really really enjoying it 😂 sorry for the long text about silly bacon but that made me laugh haha

i love when my apartment feels like an oven. i want to cook like a lil biscuit. LOL. but i’m from new york so ive never had the desire to be cold😭 i know that in the winter they advise against using AC here bc it can freeze the pipes, so just be wary of that!!

I love my bedroom being cold. Especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. I'm trying to get snugly so anything above like 62 F/16 C, I hate it. I'm all about that thick bedding and fuzzy socks. Plus my dad is such a stickler about putting the heating on (he runs warm all the time) that I'm used to layering up, and maybe sticking the fire on/heating on outside the heating timing (no one wants to get out of bed for work when it's cold/get home from work to a cold house, but try save that energy bill money) when it's below freezing outside. I've gone from the UK to LA, and I'm yet to be 'let's get my big jumpers out'. It's December tomorrow and I'm still good in my ankle boots, jeans, t shirt and a hoodie. In the UK, I'd have my uggs, jeans, long sleeved shirt, thickest jumper and coat on!

Haha, my mum 'took the liberty' to book me in with her regular hairdresser when I go home for Christmas. If I cut my hair once a year, I'm being boujie! Although growing up, my mum would take me to the hairdressers regularly whether I liked it or not, because I didn't take care of it as much as I should. She's seen how long it is now (although it's in really good condition) but I tie it up in a bun most days as it's too long to style regularly. I think that triggered her 😂. Plus she's told her hairdresser about my hair - very long, thick, curly hair - and I think her hairdresser wants to see the ultimate hairdresser dream!

You need to get a cup warmer to keep your cup warm so you dont have to keep warming your coffee - I use an Ember mug which is a digital warming mug but they’re pretty pricey.
