There are three main forms of Divine Mother (Devi) - Mahakali, Mahalakshmi & Mahasarawati. When we combine these three forms together it becomes a triangle. This triangle is what is in Kamakhya dham as the form of yoni (womb). The bindu in the center is from where the cosmos is created, the origin of all. All creation starts from this point which is the combined form of Shiva and Shakti. There are three shaktis - gyan shakti (knowledge), kriya shakti (action) and iccha shakti (willpower). The seed mantra of Kamakhya is Treem. Tree means three. She is the combined shakti of all the three Gods - Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. Kam ( desire) + Akhya ( eyes) - that shakti which fulfills all your desires through just the glance of her eyes. Kam + Eshwari ( Goddess) - when she glances at you, all desires are fulfilled. History - When Lord Vishnu cut Sati’s lifeless body with his Sudarshan Chakra, shakti peethas sprang up wherever her body part fell on Earth. The origin of all creation is from Divine Mothers womb (yoni), and Kamakhya dham is where Sati’s yoni (Womb) fell.

Each & everything you saw in temple has deep meaning... 1. At start you saw fruits and sweets outside ... these are offer to god and then you get it back to share with others and now it has blessings which you share with everyone specially the needy. 2. Entering temple barefoot ... means to connect with mother earth and give respect to mother nature... as we came from nature and will at last end in this nature ... that's why we call earth as mother. 3. Lion outside temple shows strength, it also means Nature is most strongest form of god and when you enter inside temple leave your ego outside, but it may be different in different temple as per history of that specific temple ... sometimes elephant which represent wealth and wisdom... 4. Red dot on forehead is known as "Tilak".... it helps in mind relaxation & focus, their is a whole science behind this which is linked to "Mind Chakra" as their is 7 Chakra in human body, generally we use chandan tilak. 5. 08:21 The red coloured powder is kum kum /sindoor/suhaaga etc. It is a pigment considered a symbol of fortune, austerity, purity of soul and spirituality, which is considered to be loved by gods. When it is put on mid forehead it is supposed to alleviate your spiritual level and chakras, and also considered a blessing. That's why you find it everywhere in south asia. No one gives you, you can buy that. The sweet is Prasadam. Think of it as a sweet with divine energy from the Temple. The cage thing is actual for people lining up to see the inner part of Temple. It is mostly for crowd control. Then candle thingy is called Dipak (or Diya). It is a representation of generating energy to offer to God. The round walk you did is called as Parikrama.
