I'm really upset they discontinued my shade. I feel like there is no hope for people with super ghostly pale skin unless using a base foundation & mixing that with something else. But that cost more money when doing it that way. But i guess it has to be done...But when i tried this product, i had a horrible oily look after just 4 hours of wearing it. My face was super shiny. IT covers well tho. I loved that so well but the shine just killed it for me.

I have actually been on a hunt the past few days for a foundation for pale people...and I haven't had much luck? I had this foundation matched to my skin and it turned out to be too dark. So I went a shade lighter (44) and the undertone is wayyy too pink...You see I'm so pale that I have more neutral skin...So now I wasted 80$ and I'm just so annoyed because I can't find anything...The only foundations I've been seeing so far are drugstore ones and I don't want them because they have parabens and all this junk in them...but the natural ones don't have shades that are light enough...aaahhhhg I love being pale...so why won't anyone cater their foundations more towards fair people :(? I actually did find one company though...called "Dainty Doll" completely catered towards fair people...but it looks like it was discontinued...T.T

I wish there was a line dedicated to fair skin tones. There's many lines that cater to dark skin tones but i have yet to find one for light skin. And everywhere i go, theres tan tones. I can never tan. I sun burn so my only hopes is finding a ghastly white tone for me.

um revolon has fair shades I think I am also the lightest shade and their crème foundation is very light but I know for sure dainty doll foundation has really light foundation shades you can check that out

Revlon is by far the best. Im currently using their lightest shade of liquid foundation which is still dark on me and more of a yellow tint but i really like the coverage.

This video actually convinced me to fork out the cash and buy it for myself. I'm extremely pale skinned, and after comparing 42 and 44 when I was in Sephora, I picked 42. (44 was WAY too dark for me). I've tried the foundation on a few times and it's rather shocking to become (as you put it) a "white wall", especially since I've always had a problem finding a color that was light enough for my skin and didn't make me look like I got a horrible spray tan. I KNOW that 42 is the correct color since it matches my neck and chest. I bought it a while ago and I still haven't worn the foundation in front of anyone else because I'm afraid it makes me TOO white! I've toyed around with it quite a bit (using bronzer, blush, etc) and I still feel like people would be like "daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn! Is she a mime?" I re-watched your video again and I'm so jealous! You look absolutely fabulous! I'm hoping that someday I'll be able to get the kind of look I want out of the foundation and not feel so self conscious about my whiteness! lol

Hi, can I ask is shade 42 really that light? I have just bought 44 which in certain light looks too dark but I kinda think shade 42 would be way too light? It looks VERY light in this vid

If I had to describe 42, I'd say it's a few shades darker than an actual white color. It's VERY light. And after months of playing around with it, I'm afraid its TOO light for me to wear without looking like a clown. I'm actually considering buying the next color up and mixing the two when I use it. Have you looked up swatches of the colors on google? I've seen some photos that accurately depict the color. Before I bought it I used to think the photos were exaggerating the white color, but it's really not

+RizuChan Your right. I hae just googled colour and found several pics and it does look really white. I think I am between the two and will probably just have to give in and mix the two colours. I love this foundation but 44 is just a little too dark and so too obvious.....

+RizuChan Hey! Late reply, but I suggest mixing in a tiny bit, very tiny, of a darker pigmented foundation. Test it by mixing separately at first and see if it's more comfortable for you. (I used to put a light foundation on the back of my hand then mix in a darker one when I was looking for a right shade. I didn't want to waste any haha). If not, then maybe you can try adding a contour and then a light blush. Basically, look at your face before foundation (take a picture if you need to) then reapply some of your natural shadows after putting on the foundation.

The main reason, at least for me, it was strange was because it removes all the normal redness and dark spots on our faces that we've become so use to. Recreating some of it using blush and contours helps it from being a sudden transformation and feels more natural.

You are very pretty and once you were done with your makeup you reminded of snow white for some reason except with blue eyes. I love this foundation I have light 45 and it works well. I have a combination skin, where its dry, oily and sensitive, and this hides my blemishes well. Eventually I am going to get the concealer to conceal my acne scars, but first impressions of this to me is just wow lol!

This video inspired me to find my HOLY GRAIL foundation! And I've had same tube of 42 for MONTHS. Well worth price ladies. THANK YOU! My skin is white like yours very dry, with a ton of red discoloration. I was wondering though if it would be worth trying the makeup forever HD foundation you also love? I know it's a medium coverage, but I'm concerned it wouldn't reduce redness as I would like. It would be so nice to have a slightly more natural, faster applying foundation though for days I don't feel like a full covered face. Kat Von D leaves me a ghost and I just feel it necessary to put effort into contouring, and hi lighting. Don't get me wrong I LOOOOOVE it though! Always feel glamorous on full face makeup days!💋

i honestly think this foundation is just a little bit light for you, it does fit your neck tho and i loved the fact you warmed it up abit after made it suite you alot more it looks good . & if its discontinued in the collection you shouldnt worry .. the shade is still avaliable on places like amazon , ebay and the website. for you so you probably shouldnt worry much if this is discontinued from the collection in the stores .

I love this video! I've just done a first impression video on this foundation. I have sensitive, dry/normal, acne prone skin with an oily t-zone. So I really put this to the test :)

I tried and used this foundation until I finished the bottle, in the lightest shade (the discontinued one!) I was a huge fan of the coverage and how well it matched my fair skin. I do find that over time the foundation oxidizes and becomes very powdery on your skin. Not just powdery in feel but really cakey and dusty after a few months. I'm not sure why. I've had a few friends who are huge fans of the product that feel the same way. My one friend who still uses this foundation mixes it with a moisturizer once it oxidizes.

I am similar to you! If you get red patches I recommend using a green concealer underneath your foundation to counteract the red more significcantly, and I find Estee Lauder's doublewear in shade 1C1 Shell to be amazing for us pale people. Lock It foundation is really good also, but I find that the doublewear works with all skin types. Also, for the green concealer, I recommend the Coastal Scents colour correcting wheel in light. X
