Oh my god, brings back so many memories: I used to work and live in Colaba back in 2008 and out of 64 countries visited + after living in 8 of them, India is still my heart country... felt such an intense and deep connection there (am a French living in Barcelona, now) 🙏You may want to take one of those boats at the Gateway of India and go to Elephanta Island: worth spending half a day there and visit the cave temples :)

​@@benjaminjean1371 Hello, ça dépend de quel type de tips tu parles - n'hésite pas à préciser ;) - Déjà, tu y as déjà été ou pas du tout? Si non, pour commencer se préparer psychologiquement et émotionnellement car c'est chaotique, très intense, bruyant, et ça peut vite devenir overwhelming. Aussi, se préparer à voir certaines choses pas évidentes (détresse de certains, mamans dans la rue qui ramassent des canettes de coca vides et espèrent qu'il en reste un peu dedans pour le donner au bébé qu'elles portent dans les bras... ce genre de scène), et aussi à - en n'étant pas local - être très sollicité, se faire arnaquer, parfois être suivi plusieurs minutes dans la rue pour de l'argent, etc etc... ce qui bien-sûr, fait aussi partie de l'expérience :) - Aussi, Mumbai est immense: dans quelle partie de la ville vas-tu y vivre?

@@mazinwonderlands heyy ! Déjà merci pour ta réponse et ces premiers conseils. Je serai là-bas en septembre dans le cadre pro (première "vraie" expérience pro en plus du fait que ce soit à l'étranger haha) et je travaillerai à powai normalement. Concernant les tips ça peut être tout et n'importe quoi. La chose que t'as oublié d'amener avec toi de France et avec du recul tu te dis "ça m'aurait pas mal aide de l'avoir", aux interactions en entreprise sur les choses à faire ou ne pas faire, les différences que t'as pu voir dans la façon de travailler rapport à la France, les lieux propices pour se faire des amis etc

D gateway of India n d Taj Palace Hotel r really d iconic landmarks in Mumbai. I spent 2 weeks in d hotel for official duties for a trade n investment mission from Malaysia in 2011. It was one of d experience during my 3 years living in Bandra West n working in Bandra East. Mumbai looks n sounds d same.

Many of these so called "colonial" buildings have not been built by Brits. They have been build by Indian businessmen and enterprises. eg. Taj Mahal hotel was built by an Indian in response to racism by the Britis who didnt allow Indians into luxury spaces. Same goes for that Zara store building/Ismail Building as it was originally called or Rajabai Tower or Art Deco Ensemble on Marine Drive- all are some key examples of Indian made buildings blending victorian and indian styles. Britis were only concerned with looting India hence they build CST Train Station- trains being used to siphon wealth out of India, Gateway of India - to welcome King and Queen of Britain and some hotels which are are now largely abandoned eg. Hotel Watson.

Visit Juhu Beach, Chowpatty beach...Avoid markets and beaches on Sundays.. travelling and food is pretty cheap..rickshaws use meter in Mumbai..bargain in markets for clothes..use local train but avoid rush hours like between 7-11 am and 4-8 pm.. accomodation in South Mumbai is expensive as it's more posh

big cities in India are packed and least beautiful in the country as people from the villages are pouring in the cities daily. this is because of the decision taken by Gandhi and implemented by his party over the decades of not developing Indian villages. because he thought if people remain poor then it is easier to control the population and rule by corruption.
