Apparently the ultra hd was made to be bounced onto the skin like you would with a sponge not buffed so that may be why it has less coverage and you have to use more. I may be completely wrong but that what I heard about the foundation. Love these videos! 💖💖💖

I used to wear the old formulation of this foundation religiously. I have oily skin, and I found that it would break up and oxidize around the 4-5 hour mark, but I dealt because it was a perfect colour match. I tried the new formulation and I didn't like it AT ALL. It felt so greasy on me and I felt the coverage was lacking. I've moved on to Ellis Faas Skin Veil and am much happier. Thanks for doing this review! I've been wanting someone to really compare the two.

I prefer the old formula for coverage, I feel like I have to use so much of the the ultra hd to get the same coverage. However both formulas actually work so well with my combo skin! I have used multiple matte foundations that are supposed to be great to combat my oil but the ultra hd works better every time!! Love the video Shan!!!

I love the Ultra HD foundation! I did a first impressions too, and it's definitely my go-to filming makeup, but I usually mix it in with a fuller coverage foundation. i never tried the original, so thanks for the comparison!

I love the UHD so much better! I wore a sample of it to my birthday dinner and I have to say it looked really flawless in photos, much more noticeably than my HD did. I also feel it's more comfortable on the skin but it could be a skin type thing (I'm dry/combo). I'm hopefully gonna try the stick version soon!!

I used to hate the HD foundation (I bought first the original couple years ago) but in December I went to Sephora and one lady convinced me that the HD was improved so I bought it... and is so true!, my face is oily and with the original my face was just a mess, this new formula is A LOT better (at least for my oily skin) but yes, has less coverage so you need more pumps to reach a flawless look

I absolutely agree with you. The original HD was my holy grail foundation. It matched perfectly, and it was so beautiful on my skin. With that foundation I looked like I wasn't wearing any. I have super dry skin, so I didn't often have issues with oil breaking up my makeup. With the new formulation, I've found that I need concealer, and I can see the foundation on my face. I was unfortunately a little disappointed with that release. I hope they bring the original back at some point because now I'm lost in the foundation game.

Love your reviews! I also have redness on my cheek area. For the ultra, I usually put one pump on each side (I like the natural and thin look it gives), then I just put concealer on where I need more coverage that way It won't be cakey at the end of the day. It gives me a total flawless look! I have normal/combination skin and I use a beauty blender. Love you shaan, I'd also like to see the MUFE stick foundation review as well!

Hi, I've noticed a few people asking where they can buy the ultra HD foundation and wondering about shades, how to choose etc.. Hope this helps - I bought samples from Guru Makeup emporium. You have to phone them & give them your product & shade. Their contact number is on the homepage. They also describe in detail each shade of the MUFE foundations, in the shade selection box. Also if you know your shade, Debenhams store has just launched MUFE, unfortunately it's online only, im in the UK so not sure if it's international shipping. But I'd highly recommend Guru makeup emporium for sample pots, there £2 each (British prices) you get enough for 1 application per pot. I got 2 shades & glad i did as i found they're darker than they look. I'm quite pale (for ref - nars mont blanc, C1 in l'oreal true match) If you dont know ur shade it's worth getting samples first. Also the MUFE matte velvet+ for oily skin, is a nice foundation, but I found they're a bit darker too, I've only noticed this with there paler shades . That's only my experience with the ultra HD & matte velvet foundations. Hope this helps someone. x

This lighter formula delivers the very same flawless results as before when applied with a flat foundation brush in a tap and stretch motion. You will likely need to stretch less than you did before. (or) Sponge (Beauty Blender): Press and roll to build coverage where needed." - it really depends on your preference :)

ive bought mine last week and applied it around 2:30 and it lasted 4 hours most likely because I had to take off my makeup before I went to bed but it stayed on all day for me , I didnt set it with concealer only with the contour kit & powder. i did use 3 pumps as well but I love it
