First Impression / REVIEW on the NEW ALPINESTARS SUPERTECH R10

I rode in my R10 the other day. This is the best helmet Ive ridden in. I own the X-15 and had a Pista RR. I sold it because it was too loud. This is just as quiet as my X15 but significantly quieter than the Pista. The chin curtain helps reduce wind noise significantly also. The RF-1400 you have is significantly quieter because it's more of a touring helmet and not dedicated race helmet. The R10 IMO is the perfect helmet. Looks just as sick as the Pista but quieter. More aerodynamic than the X15 but just as quiet, but looks better. Also the adjustability of this helmet is next level and way more than you can get in any other helmet. Also this helmet flows more air than any of the previously mentioned lids.

Yeah I forgot to put the curtain on so once I have time to ride I’ll put it on and do an update on it I did have the vents close though and it still sounds pretty loud

Thanks for posting the honest review. I ended up canceling my back ordered R10 since it got pushed back again to April. Kinda glad I did now after seeing this. I’m leaning towards either a new X15 or Arai Corsair X now.

The noise you hear is mostly from from your camera and communication device....

Negative it’s from the vents none of my other helmets sounds like this and it’s the same setup on all 3 same camera, mic and com

@@auroras1kk have you tried removing the camera and cardo and seeing if it does the same? I noticed how much sound the gopro and cardo adds to the helmet

@@DownshiftJ yeah I don’t always record so for me I noticed the whistle isn’t from the GoPro or cardo but from the helmet but it hasn’t been happening recently even when I use the go pro and my com is always on there and the whistle has been gone for about 2 weeks now

I have the XL size in your style. I notice my jaw and cheeks hurt after about 40 mins. DO you have the same problem. Maybe I just need to break it in more?

What I noticed is they run a little small depending on the head shape because I’m usually a medium and a large fits me my brother is a large and it doesn’t fit him at all

I get mine tomorrow I was thinking on getting a chin mount but I don't won't to spoil the aerodynamic of the helmit going to have to look at shoulder mount to chest

I don’t think it makes a big difference tbh unless you plan on recording 24/7

Mine is quieter as my Shoei X14. On my Supertech R10 i installed the Wind-chin Spoiler with the shoei chincurtain. It‘s Perfect. For me, on my bike, the Alpinestars is better than the Shoei x14

I’ve never had an x-14 of x-15 so I’m not sure how much quieter it is or loud :( but I’ll try the chin spoiler see if it helps a bit I like the aerodynamics though

I can only compare it to the pista since that’s the only other race helmet I have

And i re adjusted the Mechanik of the Visor. On my First Ride I got some whistling noises on the Right side. After the re adjustment the noises are gone.

​@@mr.cadaver13Hii, I have the same whistling noise on the left sight unit, looks like the visor mechanic edge cover isn't sitting properly flush. What's the best way to get it open without breaking it? Is it glued? Do you have insta?

@@mr.cadaver13hey mate what did you do to readjust it? I tried mine on for the first time today and I noticed some wind whistle coming from the sides, where the visor mechanism is, I could tell the visor sits ever so slightly off the rubber gasket and it creates this whistle. Cheers
