Glad you did another music topic video man. I don't know much about music and bands, like even most of the members of my favorites, so I enjoy these kinds of videos.
@BlackTerror9 ай бұрын
I like doing them and I think doing one in the car was the best place to film because that's where I do most of my listening and contemplating. I also don't have to be quiet at night like usual because my neighbor is annoyed by me.

I had a feeling when I saw you had posted this video that it'd do pretty well for you. Over 500 views already. It's taken years, but it looks like your videos are finally starting to ramp up more engagement man. That's awesome. I think I first came across your channel when looking up action figure restoration type stuff and saw your Lone Ranger video back when it only had a few views. Man, that thing has blown up now, as have several of your older videos. If I could give a slight bit of advice, perhaps this is the time to strike while the iron is hot, dude. If you can, maybe try to pick one day a week to record multiple videos all at once and start setting them up to drop on a consistent schedule. Maybe aim for 3 video drops a week. An action figure video, a music topic video, and an open topic video where you plug in whatever peaks your interest that week, like maybe a movie announcement, a video game, a life topic, or whatever. I want to see your channel grow, especially now that you're hopefully monetized and can make some extra money doing this. Set a day, say Sundays, where you record three topics in one day, chop them up a little or whatever, and upload them, but schedule them to go live, say, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, or whatever works for you. You're approaching the level where you could probably request review copies of things, too, such as newer figures, albums, and such. I know this channel is more of a hobby for you, but if you can parlay it into some extra money for yourself, then why not? I'll keep watching whatever you decide. 👍
@BlackTerror9 ай бұрын
Thanks for all the interest! Knowing people give a poop is the real motivation. At that's cool because I'm a trainwreck and have a hard time getting out of my own way! LOL! Sadly, I'm still not monetized! I got 1000 subscribers but not the watch hours. KZbin is always moving the goalposts on me. Strangely when the channel started all my videos used to get 1000 plus views and there was a little monetization. It was the proudest $100 I ever made! Normally when I do film it is multiple videos at a time but I change my clothes to make it look like I filmed at a different day. Alot gets scrapped though because I usually run out of mental energy after about 2. I'm probably going to do movies reviews this summer because I normally see them opening day on thursdays when they're the most timely. I was trying to rotate doing music videos, a custom figure, and toy videos but I just went through a big move and I got derailed for a while. The Judas Priest video shocked me because I thought I was late and put little effort into it but I did what nobody else did and didn't just blindly love it like everybody else so I guess that got me attention. Normally all the toy videos are all stuff I unabashedly love but the music videos are the stuff I'm far more critical on and it lights everybody up which is fun.

Invincible Shield BLOWS AWAY KKs Priest by FAR no contest
@BlackTerror9 ай бұрын
Either way they’re both better than Baptism of Fire. Glenn shouldn’t have sang on that one.
@softseagreens9 ай бұрын
Judas Priest is a farce nowadays. Tipton is an addict who just can't let go. I actually replied to Halford's plea to write "love messages" to Glenn once he got sick; I quote: "It's important... Please write to Glenn on social media. It means the world to him. He loves... loves his fans passionately. He looks forward to your attention. Anything you throw in is a real thrill..." So I actually wrote him lots of love poetry - got carried away. I did feel for the guy. Did he reply? No, he kept lurking, asking Halford to deliver messages. No idea what's happening in his head, but obvioisuly a whole lot - see the "Trial of fire" and "Vicious circle" lyrics. And of course he hasn't played on Firepower, let alone this last one. His brother Gary actually said, just recently, that Parkinson's has gottent o the end stage and Glenn is in a "shocking" condition. At the same time Halford and HIll give interviews: "He's doing fine, he'll do the encores"... Halford live in his own confusion/ delusion of grandeur. In an interview in 2018, when someone mentions Freewheel Burning which they played every night on the tour, he says, "Yes, Stained Class is a great album."

I'm sorry you got no response from Priest. Reaching out to our heroes is always a risky proposition. I got Ric Flair's autograph at a comic-con and it was a total disappointment because he looked so bored to be there. Kind of crushing. The new album stretches the credibility of whether its really JP or not more than other bands losing members because its arguably their two most important guys who where there the entire time. This one did an ok job where I wasn't into Firepower at all. I put in the title was it better than KK's Priest because I think that his band is actually the real Priest at this point. Even though his albums are decent but not great too. He actually co-wrote all the riffs.
@softseagreens9 ай бұрын
@@BlackTerror A hero? :) A man in distress - and if he "loved his fans passionately" it's logical he should've reached out to them. Anyway, I did get a response from Priest alright. I innocently asked what's up with the KK situation and I received bullying and threats they'd "feal with me properly". Make no mistake, this is a proper little cult.

"Invincible Shield" is like the strongest album the metal gods gifted to us since "Painkiller"... So, there's no real comparison to KK's Priest (lol). No weak song to "skip", like I happened to do a few times in "Firepower". This album can only be compared to their finest works, really. Album is a banger.

I did, it’s decent I just don’t think it’s a standout. The title track is probably my favorite. I would have put Lodger on the main album or maybe they left it off knowing it was so cool to entice you to buy the deluxe version.

Heard the first few tracks from this album when they were released. Didn't grab me. I might grab this album eventually. But do we call this Priest at this point?
@BlackTerror9 ай бұрын
That's my debate. Is it really Priest? The album needs a car ride to get into like I did and its decent. But it can't rise to great without KK and Glenn trading off riffs and solos. KK's Priest, although not truly great either actually sounds more like legitimate Priest. Sounds like the lost material between Demolition and Angel of Retribution.

@@BlackTerror Panic Attack has 3 solos the middle solo I believe is Glenn Tipton it's an easy enough lead for him sitting in the studio on a good day with Parkinsons and it sounds like his style phrasing and listen to As God Is My Witness again 3 solos the middle one I also believe is Glenn Sons Of Thunder and Vicious Circle as well

No wait, nothing beats Painkiller, Screaming for Vengeance, Defenders of the Faith, Stained Class or any other 70s Priest album. I don¨t like this album. It has recycled riffs and it¨s repetitive.

Its not a bad album considering most of the important people aren't in the band anymore. Pretending it might be as good or better than the classics is looking at it with some serious rose colored glasses.

To tell the truth KK's Priest is no slouch. The second album is really good. True that, JP is doing it better than nearly all the other classic bands at this point. I think Maiden still has it in them to do a great album if they scale back and just make shorter songs again.

Firepower gave me some faith in Judas Priest again but this was only temporarily. The band, and the music recorded between 1974-1990 is gone. It feels like they want to compete more with modern bands then make good music again. Painkiller was great but making the copy of it over and over again it's just boring. The gods of heavy metal are predictible and they never were predictible in their heydey. Firepower was quite good, the best album in 27 years but the new album is a dud again. Don't like the packaging either = feels cheap.

@@JCStorm76 My favorites are Vicious Circle and The Lodger but since they are not on the standard album I don't take them to the account. They'll probably never do pop metal again like the 80's (that sucks) but I'm still hoping for an album that revisits their early sound off the first three. That proggy blues style on Sad Wings, Sin after Sin and Rocka Rolla. KK's Priest don't do it either. Priest did Rocka Rolla live a few times recently but that would be sick if they rerecorded a few of the songs. Rob hinted at something for the 50th anniversary and I'm hoping that's what it is.

I'm having a hard time ranking the album overall right now. I was down on Redeemer till I got the Battle Cry Live album and the songs from that grew on me.
