I actually tried these on yesterday and they have waaaaay too much rocker for a 2 hour half-marathon guy like me--they felt like they wanted to run without me. They are cool shoes and I loved the color but I ended up leaving with the Hoka Rocket X2--and just finished a PR 5k run in them this morning (I love them already).

I tested Vaporfly3 3 times x 13.1 miles as I was training for a half marathon and as you mentioned, I also had a little discomfort in my right ankle (Only right). So, what I did for my half marathon race was that I used athlete tape for both ankles and I had NO ISSUES with 7:00/mi pace until I crossed the finish line. Rather it was so fun to run with Vaporfly3. Alphafly was always my racing shoes, but I can tell that Vaporfly 3 with athlete tape for ankles is my new racing shoe for even full marathon. Of course, people might not like why you have to keep using athlete tape, but it is shoes for race not for just daily training. Just my opinion from 3 weeks experience

Great review thanks. Interesting point about the narrowness of the shoe. I ran a half yesterday in my Vaporfly 2’s (which I don’t normally wear) and have a lot of blisters between the toes this morning which I can only assume is down to the narrow factor. Won’t be wearing them again! 😮

Some performance running shoes seems very bad when we just put then on and we start walking. But after we start running on then , they start to feel real good and like a normal running shoes. Every time I put my old Mizuno Wave Rebellion and my newer Adidas Adizero SL I always felt something bothering my arches. But that feeling went away as soon I warmed up and the shoes.

I am a heavy slower runner trying for sub 4 marathon. Got 5 k 24:19 pb, 10 k 50:56, half 1:54:19. At my marathon pace 5:38-5:40/ km Vaporfly gets almost soggy and ineffective. Too soft. Same with Adios Pro 2. Gonna try something lower and more firm next time, maybe Takumi Sen 8. Not sold on the idea that high stack Supershoes work for me at my marathon pace.

Have you tried on the Saucony Endorphin Pro3? It’s the first one that’s worked for me on a marathon. I also love the Takumi Sen and probably could take that to marathon distance as well, but I’m just curious if you’ve checked out the Endo Pro3. Before that I was using the Speeds for marathons. Big difference this time.

Was waiting for this review, thanks for uploading. This will help me decide between Vaporfly 3 and Endorphin Pro 3. Also, first comment 😜 Quick question, while the shoe looks great, does the cut out of foam on the side make it prone to accumulating dust in the long run that becomes difficult to clean? Just completed watching the video, makes my slight inclination towards the Pro 3 more stronger.

I never got along with the Next% or any other Nike shoes, for that matter. I just ran Boston in the Endo. Pro 3 and had an 18 min PR over last year there-probably mostly due to more intense training and much more carb-loading throughout the weekend, but the shoes really worked great and my legs and feet were happy even in the rain. Sure, they got and stayed wet but did not hang on to water and I had zero blisters. I didn’t like the earlier versions but v3 is a winner.

I just ran an 18 min PR in Boston over last year in my 1st experience with a supershoe there (I’ve previously used the Speeds)-the Endo Pro3! Of course my harder training and much greater carb-loading throughout the weekend are the main reasons, but I have to say the shoes did amazingly well for me. I had no traction issues even though it was raining with lots of puddles. You can imagine the mess at the fuel stations. They got completely wet inside and out but did not collect (hold) water, which I heard was one of Kipchoge’s complaints about his Alphafly’s! And even with all that wetness I didn’t get a single blister, and my feet felt fine afterward.

If it's the best and most lightweight shoe, it's acceptable for it to be expensive yet not durable. What I think is less acceptable is that they price the shoe this high by acting they spend billions on development. If anything the V1 Next% is superior in weight and responsiveness.

Great job on video!! After 33k miles of running I can't run anymore (wore out left knee) so now I walk and under Dr's suggestion I've had Invincible 1 & 2, both super cushion, for aggressive walking and my knee has absolutely no problems... 3 weeks ago it was time for new shoes and I went out and bought discounted "Vaper Fly 2" just because I'm an extremist and love technology and have been itching to try Vaper FLY, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm in love it makes aggressive walking so effortless and enjoyable.. HOWEVER I NEED TO ADD that I'm a overpronater also, but for some reason I don't have an issue, perhaps its because im walking vs running.. Nevertheless love your videos and Rubster, who didn't do a cameo appearance, much less a photo bomb 😂.. GREAT JOB.. THANK YOU!

Nike doesn't just "own the supershoe market", they make a lot of pretty good normal running shoes as well. Which is unfortunate since they have dialed back their support of running shoe stores. This is such an individual thing. I had a terrible experience with the Next% and returned them. I didn’t find any CP supershoes that felt fast (too many were too mushy and made me feel like I was working harder) until the Endo Pro3. For me they were perfect and helped me (along with other factors of course) PR last Monday by 18 min over last year. For reference, I’m very petite and light. But we’re all different; we just have to try them and see what works best with our biomechanics.
