I spent a few weeks in IT park last year and i found it very clean, relatively quiet and with lots of western food options.

Very clean and modern indeed

Nice to see IT park again. I worked there for 2 years - the building across the street where you were dropped off by the cab. There were no Ayala mall back then. I miss the place and beaches on the island. Have fun!

If you'll get back here in Cebu, I suggest you rent a condo instead of a hotel because you can cook and it's not expensive. Also, don't be afraid to take a taxi. To avoid getting scammed make sure to get the taxi name and number and ask the driver to use their taxi meter. I also highly suggest that you learn basic greetings in our dialect for you to use when riding a taxi 🤗. You can also google some of our tourist spots here in Cebu City that you'll enjoy in your next visit.

Thanks for the recommendations!

I agree.from experience, make sure they use the meter, if not they will over charge you.

Nice video. I'm considering retiring to Cebu. Had me confused though. I've bought furniture from Mandaue. Its pronounced man - dow - way.

BGC is almost 9 times larger than IT Park. It will take all day to see BGC
@AbroadInThailand8 ай бұрын
I'm leaving Manila today and probably won't get to BGC
@geov31388 ай бұрын
@@AbroadInThailand well that sucks. Because your impressions of Cebu will be based on the 1 tiny nice area that you went to. While your impressions of Manila will not include the very large nice area that you didn't go to. This will continue to perpetuate the myth that Cebu is the best city in the Philippines and Manila is the worst. If you spend a week in Manila and a week in Cebu City, you'll quickly realize that Cebu City is much worse. Cebu Island itself is fine, albeit overrated, but the Cebu city is terrible aside from It Park and Ayala Center

@@AbroadInThailand Imagine going to NY and not seeing downtown Manhattan. That's what you did when you went to Manila and didn't see BGC. You saw 2 tiny parts of Manila and now think you can judge the entire city. You're the one who thought there was no transit system until 2029. Manila had the FIRST rapid transit system in all of Southeast Asia, back in 1984

It's nice but way too small. The rest of Cebu City is not impressive. IT Park would be like a medium-sized downtown if it were in Manila. BGC, Makati CBD, Bay City, and Alabang are much bigger. IT Park is more comparable to Eastwood City or Rockwell Makati

Yeah IT Park was quite small for sure

that's like the smaller boring version of BGC. And BGC is much easier to cross the street. Cars go slower and pedestrians are more prioritized
