The graffitti really brought the area down such a shame and then the village looked so qaint, a real contrast. Love the old building and those end wall murals were very cool.

6:21...this building you looking to here have a painting to a man with white hear and beard ...this is the most famous bulgarian architect from the period of ottoman ocupation,his name is nikola fichev,or more famous as kolio ficheto,i recomend you google his works to admire the autentic beauty of bulgarian masons ,who were working and creating amazing art during brutal oprresion of the spirit and body and humiliating place in this empire,he have many works in tarnovo so you can see them on the spot....after the liberation in the country younger architects that went to study abroad start building in the modern for day styles in europe,wich the comunists deliberately were trying to totally destroy as they tried in the chech republic and hungary and enywhere they ruled...cheers

I havent been in Veliko Tarnovo since 1998. It used to be a clean and nice city, no graffiti and empty abandoned shops. Now, I dont like it.
