I used to use the curling custard alllll the time!! Because I like hair gels that are watery and glide easy, BUT!!!! I have a newfound loveeeee, it’s the new Shea Moisture coconut custard Make it Last Wash N’ Go defining gel-oil (I know.... super long name) but it’s got a similar texture to the Kinky Curly gel, except it contains oil so it does not make your hair stiff and you get wayyy more product for a better price. Amazing for wash and go’s ❤️ Also.... I remember smelling it and thinking of marshmallows and when I checked the ingredients, i came to find that the curling custard actually does contain marshmallow extract😂💕💕

Kinky curly custard is bae 🙌 I'm type 4 and its the only gel that gives me definition with volume and bounce. I use Mielle pom & honey leave in, Honey's Handmade Macadamia & caramel custard(for extra moisture), and the kinky curly custard. I finally found a winning combo.

emperess the secret to kinky curly is while you can go ham with the leave in, just BARELY use any of the custard!!!! Seriously, just barely dip your fingers in! Smooth it through and it’ll coat the whole section and give it hold without making it crunchy :) the first time I used it was a disaster. The second time I used like a 4th of the amount of product and it turned out perfect. The custard is one of my holy grails now
