Quesadillas from the US are like quesadillas from the northern states of mexico.if you want cheese here, you have to ask for it and they might charge more 😅. The tortillas aren't black, they're blue and it comes from a blue type of corn, we also have purple red yellow etc type of corn
@ChangingLocations Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for explaining that! It makes a lot more sense why the quesadillas we had in CDMX were so different from what we know. And appreciate the clarification for blue vs black corn 🙌

Amazing city! I visited nearly a year ago in May 2023 for 9 days and had a blast! The people are incredibly friendly (a big contrast to the people in NYC which is where I live, no offense to my fellow New Yorkers but it's the truth). I interacted with far more people in Mexico City in those 9 days than I have in NYC in probably years lol, maybe I'm exagerrating but you get the point. The food in Mexico City, OMG!! The most delicious food I've ever had on any vacation!!! Overall, it's the most exciting city I've visited in my life so far, even more than the several European cities I've visited (including Barcelona) and that's saying a lot because Europe is amazing too! I can't wait to visit CDMX again!

Man! Big fail to miss those tacos at 6:46. Tacos "El Chulo" is one of the best places in the city to eat carnitas and gorditas (btw they are the size of a vinyl record and weigh about 3 pounds), and instead, go to Mercado Roma (which not bad) for a "trendy" experience. Take it from a local who has traveled a lot. Maybe next time. Congrats on your channel. Keep it going.
@ChangingLocations Жыл бұрын
We did eat a lot of street food tbh and Mercado Roma was a disappointment compared to what's sold on the street. Thankfully we made up for it by still getting some tacos later and we will keep it Tacos El Chulo in mind for our next time in CDMX ❤️🇲🇽
