You guys are insane, if they wanna come to India buy stuff with price tag on. Go to the fckn malls they have price tags but guess what they also have american prices. You think by earning ₹ 2000 out of these tourists the shopkeeper must have looted them. Do you realise thats only $30 he probably earns more in an hour than that. Stop putting down your fellow countrymen who are running small business in the tourism sector. I’m so fckn done of seeing this. Let these outsiders learn to bargain themselves thats exactly what they are there for, a new experience.

Word of Caution: When traveling in India, it's advisable to exercise caution: refrain from purchasing items from street vendors, be discerning about who you engage with (regardless of their attire or speech), rely on information from your hotel reception or online sources, and negotiate when hiring auto-rickshaws or shopping. It's prudent not to pay the full price upfront for services, a practice that applies not only to foreign travelers but also to Indians traveling from other states. Please note: India's diversity can make travel challenging even for Indians moving between states or within a state. While not everyone in India is dishonest, due to its large population, encounters with unscrupulous individuals may be more frequent compared to other countries.

Zane, just stumbled upon your video. As many have already told you, you are living in the most touristy place in Mumbai. The street you walked from 10:21 onwards from Cafe Mondegar is known as Colaba market. It is a street market and vendors know how to deal (fleece) foreigners. If someone is being too friendly to you and not leaving your side, be very careful in this part of Mumbai, they definitely want to sell something to you that you don't want/need. Actually it applies to any street market around the world. I've personally seen a tourist been sold a cotton shawl as cashmere shawl for Rs. 1000 when we Indian's were buying it on next stand for Rs. 250. 21:05 - Kaju=cashew. And the nut within the Mango bite seemed to be almond. 7:59 $14 for laundry is too expensive. Per piece charge is expensive, there will be laundries where it is charged as per kilo. Hoping you do get some mango...though the season has just ended. Also, hope the monsoon doesn't dampen your spirits. Other recommendations for the Parsi cafe's are already with you. Njoy.

The elected legislters, corporators, officials ,the state governments do not work to make their cities likable and attractive to visitors or to its residents. There appears criminal negligence in the matters of keeping hygine, aesthetics, tidiness and reshaping for more conveniances found everywhere. The states, centra authorities show their utter shamlessness in presenting such highly degraded scenes of ugliness, stinks and rubbishness found equally in almost all streets of the cities. It is a surprise to see their own lack of love and respect they have shown towerds their own cities and tows.

OMG that woman in the blue sari was obnoxious! Local authorities in India and other countries should do something about touts like that. This summer I was in Tanzania and had quite a few encounters with touts, though none of them got nasty. (Btw, I don't spend $80 a night even in Western Europe - can always find something decent for cheaper. But I guess hotel prices are high in Colaba.)
