February 5, 2022 / VLOG NO. 190 - In this video, I cover my first impressions of Phoenix, AZ, and hike up Piestewa Peak, one of the city's best hiking spots! The video begins with an overview of my plans, and a quick walk-thru of my Airbnb! I head out to explore the surrounding area, and grab some lunch before I make my trip up the mountain! Love it! I lived in Phoenix in the early to mid 90s. The trick to hiking during the summer was to do it early morning or towards evening to avoid the hot, hot sun. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing your video.

I'm glad you had a great day! It's interesting, in spite of the sprawl of Phoenix, what that somewhat pejorative word "sprawl" means. (I had to look up my misspelling - I was going with "perjorative." Must sound like perv. ) Water must constrain things in the Southwest more than east of the Mississippi. From my perspective that's probably a good thing in the end. Though it's mainly about love of people and place, there's still how where we live relates. I'm preaching to the choir probably. So peaceful. Thanks!
