I LOVE your “can do” attitude! Adaptability is key and you are embracing that word. That is the word that sums up my travels but mine is due to being in a wheelchair. Good on you both! 🎉🎉

Thanks for the amount of detail. We lived in the UK for several years and this video made me homesick for the grocery store oddly lol. Keep them coming! We're launching soon and maybe one day our paths will cross. Enjoy!

@@RetiredNomadAdventures first stop: Turkey!
@RetiredNomadAdventures4 ай бұрын
@@Jruss508 That’s exciting. We are planning right now for the summer of 2025 through around Christmas time. And Turkey is one of the places we intend to go to during that time. I’d love to keep in touch as you launch and hear your thoughts as you are there. We were thinking we might like to go to Istanbul, Cappadocia, and the Fethiye (or maybe Antayla). So excited for you!

This is your best video yet! Lighting on your faces and sound quality was great. I think it's so cool to see one of these less traveled places in detail. I too drink Coke and found it interesting to see how much more some of our staples will be there. Is there a cheaper local cola? Can't wait to see the next video!

We go to the UK for a month at time to visit family. We use a few different lodging booking options, but it seems Sykes Holiday Cottages work out the best for us most of the time.

For drinks out you need to try weatherspoons it’s cheapest drinks and refills on coffee it’s a cheap chain and in every town. Food is so so cheap but not great and all of them have different standards of cleanliness but many in old reclaimed buildings. By the way loving these very informative from Scotland x

Thanks for the tip!! It turns out Ramsgate has the largest Weatherspoon in all of the UK. It’s really a beautiful one and has great outdoor seating overlooking the ocean and the harbor. 🍻

Very interesting. Will be interested to how you manage a woman’s hair care over 5 months. Quite concerned how I would keep up with cuts and colour. Seems to be a great place to thank you.
@RetiredNomadAdventures4 ай бұрын
@@mjbalmmac1588 I’m so glad you said that. It has been a real struggle. My hair did not react kindly to the water in England or something. Who knew?! It was so hard to find a shampoo and conditioner that I thought might work for me. I should’ve picked something up in Liverpool before I ran out of the travel size ones I brought with me. Liverpool had more major department stores and much more of a selection to choose from. It just didn’t occur to me that anywhere in England it would be hard to find. Now, after two month’s of traveling, my gray hairs have really come through loud and proud, so another hunt and struggle is underway! 😂
