I grew up in Singapore and moved to the US when I went to college. I brought my wife in 2019, for a week in Singapore, and a little over a week in Malaysia. If you are ever back definitely eat in a hawker center. If you make Malaysia spend some time on Penang Island. It is very similar to what Singapore was like int eh 80's. Glad you enjoyed a slice of my home country. Looking forward to seeing more videos in the future.

those super trees at the Gardens By The Bay are actually chimneys.....the Garden uses Waste to Energy technology to produce its own electricity mostly from the twigs, leaves and branches of the tress and plants from the Garden. You know that they got that technology working efficiently when you cannot see any black smoke coming out of those chimneys.

That's amazing! It's great to see innovative and sustainable technology being used to power such a beautiful and iconic location. It's a great example of how we can find creative solutions to reduce waste and generate clean energy. The Gardens By The Bay is truly a marvel of both natural beauty and environmental consciousness.

Yeah, Weekdays 10am to 5pm has less people riding around the transport system coz people are either working or staying home. Same goes with Chinatown Souvenirs Row, Arab Street. It will only get crowded in the evening or over the weekends.

Now is considered the wet season in Singapore. So glad you all are prepared for that. Sad that you all didn't try local food cause there are endless gems there. The hawkers are usually shelter and it considered cheap. You can still eat it during raining. As for the mrt, you are taking the brown line which is just newly open so it will still take a while for people to adjust their travelling route. Fun fact, brown line is only half open and the other half is still in the progression for completion. As for the Chinatown part where there are empty spaces with shelter above, It used to be food street where the popular vendors/"chefs" ard sg are invited to setup their mini branches there so you can taste the top rated variety of food all at one place but at double the price. The local won't really eat there cause there is alrdy a hawker center within 1min walk away and another one at about 5-8min walk away. during covid, the food street is closed for good.

If you love nature and greenery, consider visiting lesser known parks like Sungei Buloh and Pasir Ris Park. Explore more of nature by doing island hopping to Coney Island, Lazarus Island, Kusu Island, etc. All these islands are part of Singapore. 😊

Hello KJ and Sarah love you two. My husband and I took a vacation in Singapore two years ago. He was a little drunk on wine one night and scrolled our names into a heart in red on a wall. He was arrested and they cut the A......s off him with a big cane. We wont be going there in a hurry!!

@@KJandSarahwe become Tokyo - everyone compacted together like a can of sardines during rush hour. 😂😂 just kidding. Tokyo's worse in that sense. Here, we try to squeeze in as much as we can but if it gets too crowded, we'll just wait for the next train. It is not a pleasant experience to be stuck in a tight, enclosed space with your nose literally inches away from someone's stinky armpit.

There's plenty of cheap.food like rice, rice cakes, rice noodles. All gluten free.

For sure! The tough part with Celiac Disease is how and where those food items are prepared. If they are prepared using the same dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc. or are grouped with other gluten-containing foods, they are not Celiac safe and Sarah cannot eat them. The cross-contact is the toughest, but a very important part of Celiac Disease.
@maocat6606 Жыл бұрын
Ah! If that is so, better stick to those that say gluten free. Need to know exactly how the dishes r cooked. Admire Sarah's courage to go experience new things!
