Revair reverse air dryer is the GOAT. Periodt. My hair is SO much easier to manage, knots are a lot less, styles come out better, etc. I have not touched any other dryer since I got mine! Also, they're offering a discount to people that already purchased the first one. Info on their website. Personally I probably won't upgrade. The smaller size and sleekness look great, but I've been making it work with the first version. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" kinda vibe lol

I know it would take much longer but I am very curious what drying hair on lowest heat versus just cool would do on our hair type. Even just two sections for research purposes. I think if it can still dry at all with tension on low heat or just cool air I would be down to be broke for a month and purchase it

I have mine, and I love it, but there’s a learning curve for me. I love the time it saves, the stretch, and how it prevents hair breakage from less manipulation. I think the key for me is doing the comb chase method, but I struggle so much doing that 😩. I'm also having trouble keeping my hair moisturized consistently - it can be stiff or sticky depending on the product I’m using. I hope using their balm will do the trick, but I think definitely worth figuring out. If there are any tips that commenters could share, I would appreciate it. - Type 4 Revair newbie (I use 7 on the heat setting and the highest tension)

yeah i just got my revair and i have 4c high porosity hair and my hair comes out super dry and stiff when i use it. I only use leave in conditioner and serum with 7 tension. I tried both low and high heat but the results are the same :/

I've been really interested in getting the new version. I've been contemplating it since it came out, but the older model was just too big and bulky for me. The only thing I wonder if it could dry (and probably stretch at the same time) a wash and go. I've seen a lot of videos of people using it to stretch their wash and go, but they always start on a fully dried one. I'm wondering if it would work on damp hair with a low tension setting. If it did, it would be an instant buy. If you're up for a hair experiment, I'd love to see you try.

@@ananse77 Oh it works. Since I commented my partner got it for me 😀. It gives me a more fluffy, stretched and voluminous look than my diffuser. I like big hair so I don’t mind trading a bit of definition for volume. I don’t even put my sections in twists (unless I want a quick stretched twist out look). For the wash and go, I do 8 to 10 sections. Around 1 minute per section. Low heat and suction on 1.

Conair Silverbird - $50 and beyond awesome. It takes me 7 minutes or less total to dry four sections of hair - my whole head. My hair is 4b/c with a z coil and straightens to just past collarbone. Only drawback is its comb attachment has a tendency to come off, which you can stop by putting a rubberband on the nozzle to give the attachment extra grip.
