Are there any artificer subclasses in it? Midgard heroes Handbook came out before artificer got officially published, so I 'm interested to see what this adds on top of the heroes hadbook!

Artificer isn't in the SRD so it remains solely WOTC intellectual property and can't be included in a third party book sold freely. Drive thru RPG or DMS Guild might have different rules but you won't find any artificer material elsewhere.

I got my pdf today and I'm so happy. The adventuring gear alone is fantastic. No longer just acid and fire now you can throw thunder, cold or lightning bombs each with different effects. So much more here to spend your money on, own a manor, ride a war pig, buy magical plants with cool uses. So many things. Loved the portal domain cleric too. Hijack a teleporting enemy and redirect them to where you want so much fun.

Someone who followed call about press for a while, I know that a good third of the sub classes and races are from smaller modules they posted over the years, with some slight changes here and there. I would call this book their version of WOTC‘s monsters of the multiversese. Just consolidating a lot of their old material into a single book with some new material added on. I am happy that they have six monks subclasses after years and years of saying they hated the monk.

Is this book intended to be a replacement for the Midgard heroes handbook? And does it have any of the Midgard specific backgrounds as well?

Nope, there is some overlap. But the Midgard Heroes book is a modgard book. This one is for every setting
