I also have the Vault of Magic. I like using it in campaigns because it both has bonuses and liabilities for magic items. Tese are my two favorite Kobold Press books.

If you've not used Kobold Press before, your players are going to weep when you check out Tome of Beasts.

I have their three monster books. Tome of beasts, the creature codex and tome of beasts II. They are invaluable so many new monsters and new variants each with lore that really guides you on how you could use them in your game. Amazingly they keep getting better. The indexes in Tome of Beasts 2 that organise monsters by challenge rating within terrain or creature type are so useful. TrVelling through a swamp want to create a quick wandering monster table to challenge your players. Done in seconds. Then think how those creatures would influence the swamp and you have a unique setting too with denizens and conflicts ready to explore.
