I lived in Bogota for two years, and now 1 year in Bucaramunga. Worst part of Bogota is the traffic. I loved the weather, outside of the rain. I never felt it was too cold. Always felt safe and never had a problem. Many amenities from the states as it’s the capitol, so always had a piece of home there. Colombia is a great place to live and very affordable.

I returned to Colombia after 17 years outside the country. I have decided to come back to Colombia for the same reasons as the guy at the end of the video.. People here don’t really understand why I want to be here instead of Canada, but it is hard to explain that living in Colombia is more interesting and full of colors. It is not about the money why I am here, it is more because I feel that life here is way more interesting and least predictable, sometimes for good, sometimes for bad, but it is exciting.

Hi, I'm Colombian-American, great observations. I lived and worked in Bogota for a yr and miss it very much. I go back every year in Jan. The weather in Jan and Feb is the best, sunshine, so many museums, restaurants, and tons of things to do. Also, many places Rolos leave Bogota on fiesta weekends (3 day weekends) and go south, west, and east and u are in the tropics. Melgar, Villavicencio, it blew my mind with the range of ecosystems 1 hour away from Bogota. I have traveled allover the world and Bogota fascinates me.

Quality of life is good in Colombia for foreigners who earn dollars or euros, so you could have a good quality of life anywhere in Souh America (except Venezuela) with the right amount of dollars/euros, but yeah, Colombia is cheap compared to Brazil for example (at least the big cities). I don't want to go back to that mess of a city where everyone is miserable and lonely. I can have my own apartment, eat out multiple times per day, pay for a membership at a great gym, subscribe to Tinder plus ;) and still have money left over. 7 million people (est) in bogota. It was when I was there last anyway, which was in 2012. Damn, never mind, that’s a long time and mucho ninos later, lol.

@@slyslife yeah man love those commas on looting and vandalising, good to know that even people new to the context can see how orchestrated that panic wave on Friday the 22th was by the government, which insists in lying to the people and causing terror for the lives of the once who have been taking a stand and manifesting their discontent, hell, their disgust with president Duque's presidency. Terror politics by the government ain't news to us by now but the youth is taking a big stand that you'll see reflected in the prosperous future that you and I will soon, well, maybe in a decade, but someday will see in Colombia

idk man the girls there were like the girls here, always wanted me to pay for everything and nothing in return and some straight up wanted me to take care of her and her kids(tons on single moms on dating apps) but still fun place to visit. Met a hottie in Neiva but to much attitude.

chexmix0101 Did you go all the way to Neiva? Why did you end up there? It’s not a popular city for foreign tourists yet.
