@@renerosentraeger I suppose it's really closer to the Su-3X series, but I've always wondered what an F-14 would look like with a permanent wing, especially a more modern trapezoidal type like an F-22, etc. It ought to fly fairly well, as the Freewing twin 80mm F-14 can easily perform high alpha flight at slow speeds even with the wings swept back in full delta.

We are in the production phase of a very similar design for the university project, I do not understand how it became so similar. The mechanics of moving the motors vertically and horizontally that we made are exactly the same. Now I felt compelled to develop my own project more :)
@renerosentraeger
@renerosentraeger 10 ай бұрын
That's interesting. The swiveling mechanism is used since about 10 years by my side. So it's not that new. Are there some pics of your design?

@@renerosentraeger We took the SR-71 model as a basis, added wings in front of it, and added engines to the end of these wings, and also made a mechanism to maneuver upwards during take-off. We also added an upward-facing mechanism to the main engines. We are thinking of producing the main wings in a way that can change angles like the F-14, but we are not sure. There are a total of 4 engines on the aircraft because we will add a lot of avionics and more batteries for our project mission, which is longer range electric powered airplane travel. But it looks like we will change the design to a flying wing for long range, if you have any advice we would be happy to listen to us novice students.

"Multiple discovery" or "simultaneous invention" is actually incredibly common. When given the same goal with the same restraints often people will do very similar things to achieve the goal. Think of the radio which both Marconi and Tesla were designing with very similar technology. The telephone: Meucci, Reis, Manzetti, Duquet, Bell, and Grey all created similar devices to transmit voice electronically. Even Einstein's E=MC2 was also theorized by Paul Langevin, Henri Poincare, and Olinto De Pretto all around the same time and independent of one another.

With LWPLA it´s better to print one after the other to prevent / minimise stringing. So the there is space needed for the printhead between the parts.

I found your channel this morning for the first time. I have been following RamyRC for a few years and he uses the opposite type of 3D print construction for his jets; making a printed mould to construct carbon fibre parts. The prints you make with two skins supported internally with a matrix is amazing and should improve in lightness and strength as you refine the technique. The appearance and finish is superb; congratulations. 🦘
