for wheels, the sizes are displayed in the cars info. also if you go in assemble mode and add the tire shadow to your shopping list, its gonna add the proper size and info on the list.

the important skills for me is the SCREW speed and the MOUNTING speed because it is a PAIN to remove parts without it. BUT the EXAMINE speed skill is ALSO helpful in gaining addition EXP so that you can unlock the other two skills faster.
