Having those extra gears definitely helps even though the ratio of the first six gears is about the same as the manual (probably to mimic the characteristic).

yeah the handling is very unique and very predictable.. love it!! even if its a bit too much understeering with those tires .. but also had too much pressure

amazing car, I have a 2022 yaris GR . I love it , only the gearbox is a bit funky sometimes. need to take care when you shift fast .

Impressive fast corners speeds on PS4S, without proper camber struggling in slow corners, but it will be super fast after mods. Max speed is 5-10kmh higher than previous gen due to more power and shorter gears.

Yes the grip of the Yaris is and was stunning .. love the balance. The top speed limiter was 230 with the previous model .. now 240. but without limiter it’s 260

Hello, the traction mode is TRACK? Do you feel different from previous version? Now is dynamic between 70 rear 30 front , 40 rear 60 front. The first version de SPORT mode was fixed the distribution of the torque. Do you feel more understeer? Thank You, nice drive!

@@tronracing i think I drove in gravel mode 50:50 .. that was like track mode before .. but have to test next time a bit of the new track mode is working on track 👍🏼 there was no alignment etc .. yes understeering was there .. but that’s how the 1gen works also stock

Hab den Vorgänger seit 3.5 Jahren und bin den neuen mit Schalter letzte Woche gefahren. Die realistischen 5 bis 10 PS die er mehr hat (die alten haben praktisch alle mehr als 261 PS) merkt man nicht wirklich, was man merkt ist dass er insgesamt steifer ist. Würde ich den Mehrpreis bezahlen? Nö.

@@MrMorgan1o1 da es sich ganz anders fährt ist es schwer zu sagen ob man es spürt. Schon bei meiner ersten Runde hatte ich auf dem Ring aber schon an den zwei schnellsten Ecken 10 km/h mehr drauf .. also ja, Mehrleistung ist „spürbar“. Finde das Facelift echt gelungen .. innen wie außen und technisch sowieso 👍🏼

Top Runde, die Automatik scheint sehr direkt zu sein kein "Gummiband" .Das neue Armaturenbrett mit seinen Anzeigen ist das, was sich jeder wünscht. Nach dem Bergwerk drückst Du. auf den Sprayer ? Ist dann der Tank bis zur Mutkurve leeer oder gibt er nur einen zeitlichen "Boost" ? Ich denke ich warte noch auf ein gutes Angebot, es sind ja jede Menge AT`s verfügbar. Mir fiel auf das der Tacho über 230 geht, was ist mit der Spassbremse ?

You have three choices like with the previous model. The „only“ difference are the names and that one of the modes is more „intelligent“ and has a flexible ratio .. but it was not enough time to test it .. my first laps were on the last open day this year 🤷🏽‍♂️

The seats are lower than the previous model 👍🏼 but got new (VERY COOL) seats with even lower console .. wider tyres on hot light wheels .. exhaust is coming .. and lower suspension. Technical wise I think just an oilcooler for the diff

Toyota dealer will explain. Shortly, you cannot use the car on track. One track lap and warranty is cancelled. Remember that Toyota has GPS always on. To be fully honest it's up to them now will they process with your warranty request or just say that you were driving a car at track. In reality, people had the warranty cancelled. As a gen1 owner it's a real f&&&k up from Toyota. I decided to not use the extended warranty option because of this. They play an unfair game where the customer is a fool. They pay every blogger to drive at track and once the owner does that they are free to cancel the warranty. I'm writing that because we as a society need to stop such behavior from each and any manufacturer. You sell it as a track, sport car, you should keep warranty until the car is not modified...

@@triedproven9908 put the Porsche on a snowy winter road against the Yaris and watch it struggle. Different cars for different purposes, the Yaris is not really a car made for this kind of tracks, it’s still fun and reasonable fast as you can see.

Definitely not pooping on the Yaris it's doing its part for sport hatches, but xthilox has far surpassed anything it can ultimately offer. Where do you go from 718 is a really good question though.
