Love your perspective! And your vulnerability. Thanks for sharing! Means a lot to hear your reflection and process. I believe we truly do start to love ourselves like never before when we accept every version of ourselves in appreciation that they have all led us to where we are right now! You should be so proud of yourself for not only having these realizations but for having the bravery to share with others. Give yourself and every past version of yourself a giant hug. Sending you lots of love!!

Thank you for sharing your journey. You are incredible ❤ I'm 44, 4 months on T, have CSA in my history and very much think about the fact that this could be my body protecting me, I have to consider that if parts of my trauma heal, my identity could shift, even tho right now T has drastically improved my overall health and well-being and I've never felt better in my life. There's no way to know until you just do. So I'm coming to terms with the fluidity and uncertainty. Ready for all that it brings. Social & cultural norms make it more difficult for us to explore these parts of ourself. You are coursing right thru it. I know you sharing your journey is going to help so many. It certainly helps me. Your couragrous spirit shines through all the vulnerability. And there's power & freedom there. Lots of love.

Thank you so much! Congrats on starting hormones. I also felt free when I started. Even just being off of them after acquiring the results I wanted helped. At a year on hormones I felt AMAZING! I would have been okay stopping there. Just know that you can stop if you want to and thats okay.

Issa, I bet you are going to have great results with laser hair removal. I had it done on my legs 17 or so years ago, and I always say "worth every penny!" It took about 6-7 sessions, and cost about $2,400 in total (back in about 2003). With your dark hair (I have black hair too and pretty much the same skin tone as you), it will work great for you. And they have better lasers now too than back then. All the best to you! :) :)

Thank you! I’ve noticed a lot gone so far even with the first session. It feels great to even just thin it out and not have it all grow in as fast and thick. That’s made me feel better already!

Thank you for sharing your journey! I'm a cis woman with a fair amount of facial hair and also shave against the grain. I tried laser once, I used to be the perfect candidate with light skin and dark hair, but it hurt too bad. The little goggles they put on me were full of tears when I took them off. I'm 43 now so have lots of grey and I think I'm tougher but they say light hair is hard to target. Anyways, I totally felt this.
@mygirldarby2 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, you're a woman. There's no such thing as a "cis" woman. I really wish these new labels wouldn't be used. Transgender is extremely rare, but this "cis" label implies otherwise, which is why it was invented. Adults who identify as Transgender or non-binary are less than 1% of the population. Even among teenagers who are heavily influenced by the trans fad on social media, only around 5% identify themselves as trans or non-binary. That number falls as they mature and learn more about themselves and their sexuality. So we don't need the prefix "cis" to identify approximately 99% of the population. A man or woman who is transgender can ID themselves whatever way they wish, but they have no right to change how women or men identify themselves.
@valerie3622 жыл бұрын
@@mygirldarby Thanks for sharing your opinion? Just like you said trans people can be called whatever they want, so can anyone else. If I use cis in a LGBT space, that's up to me. No one is forcing it on you and she didn't tell me to use it in the video.

You're gorgeous and you're going to get great results because laser works best on dark hair against light skin. You might need many sessions though, also be careful choosing the proffesional, the skilled one should not give you long term burns.

thanks for sharing your story. I went to watch your doc and as an empath it seemed there were some interesting moments that were documented which after listening you stand out significantly. Have you watched the documentary again now that you've decided to detransition? There were a few almost foreshadowing comments from yourself and others also I think. Like the doc who gave you the shot without your explicit permission saying "I just did it bc I didn't think you would ever be ready" and also you saying that you were just wanting to be more masculine not a man.
@aliaxismail3 жыл бұрын
Yes I have watched in many times! There are some foreshadowing, but that’s what’s so interesting about my journey and life. Sometimes you have to take a step back to realize things and I’m so grateful to have the film to reflect on. I actually LOVE my doctor and glad she did that because I am scared of needles. So she said that for that reason. I was excited and ready for the shot, just nervous because I was terrified of needles! Also yes. I was trying to find my masculinity and due to my experiences and interactions and many moments I thought testosterone would be the best for me. When I started to really register as male is when I felt uncomfortable. but hey, we gotta go through things to really learn more about ourselves.

Hi! Why do you need laser hair removal if you stop taking testosterone?
@aliaxismail3 жыл бұрын
Because the hair follicles have grown out instead of staying dormant and because of that it will continue to grow out or stay dark and course even if it thins out a bit. I had a super dark thick beard too, so eventually I’d have to get it!

@aliaxismail3 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure if you checked out my other video first. That explains my journey a little bit better. I truly believe I would not have come to this decision unless I started my transition in the first place. Gender and gender expression is extremely complex. I’m so grateful that I’ve had that experience because it taught me a lot about myself in the world and how I’d like to be perceived. It also gave me a wild amazing experience to walk through the world in the opposite gender. Knowledge that very few can gain in their life. :)

I know you said and please correct me if I'm wrong but had your breasts removed, you did say didn't you that you were big breasted and you were uncomfortable with this and now are happier without your breasts but here is the thing at a later time you can go back to your Dr and have smaller implants put in. I'm happy you are coming back to the way God made you to be a women.

Shaving - a wierd process? That is why males is not supposed to shave. The beard is there for a reason. And what is the point really to change from being female and not having facial hair naturally and becoming male and get hair growth and then shave.
