Vocal feminization surgery is a thing!! She can get her voice fixed with, time, surgery and medication, and the facial hair can be dealt with as well. If medication doesn't work, laser hair removal will take it off permanently.

“I don’t have to be a certain way to be a woman.” This a million times!!! I’m a more masculine woman. I’m still a woman. Flamboyant men are still men. There is not one or two ways to be a woman or a man. The VAST majority of us are lucky and have no real problem with the body we are in. How we chose to express ourselves is how we chose to express ourselves.

Exactly. My girlfriend is a butch lesbian and for a while was struggling with if she might be trans or not because she dislikes femininity and chooses to express herself more masculine/andro. She grew up in a conservative household and to her, masculinity=man and femininity=woman, in terms of gender expression. Once she discovered she could be a butch lesbian, she knew for a FACT she wasn't trans. This is what we need to be teaching kids, at that age I think a majority of the issues are gender-expression-based.

I have had some trouble with being comfortable as a woman and I am STILL glad I never even discovered gender dysphoria as a teen. I don’t know if I would have been interested enough to do it but I would have obsessed over it, and now that I am an adult I am pretty happy with my life. I am married to a straight man, I am beautiful, and I have a son. Plus I have enough health problems to worry about. I also have a perspective in life that wouldn’t really approve transition as a solution and I would have regretted that for sure even if I liked presenting as a man instead. I think for me, I saw that my brother got more positive attention than I did, my dad was the nice parent, and I think I got the impression that life was better for boys than for girls. I related more to Simba, Little Foot and Aladdin than any Disney Princesses, etc, I liked boys’ adventures better than girls, and their role in society seemed more fun. In retrospect I think I am just broken, and I have a sort of repressed misogyny that says good girls are lame and not like me. I wanted to be the best I could be but it wasn’t working as a girl so I got anxious and wanted to be like my brother instead. I think a lot of these people who regret transition are like this, and what actually needs to be done is spiritual healing and probably some anxiety treatment

The fact that you can’t get tattoos, smoke, or drink in a lot of places until at least 18 but can completely change your body through surgery and hormones is the definition of insane. The argument for not being able to drink and smoke before 18-21 is our brains aren’t fully developed yet we can permanently alter ourselves through surgery and other drugs? Drinking throughout my teenage years didn’t do NEARLY as much damage as this now 21 year old girl was put through🤦🏼‍♂️ I can confidently say I’ve never in my life done any permanent damage to myself by using any of the drugs I’ve experimented with. Meanwhile people like her are called brave for doing what she did. What a sick society we live in.

You realize you can’t have surgery until you’re 18 in most places right?? Like no 14 year old is gonna chop of breasts that they don’t even have yet. Also drugs are useless and harmful. While hormones are useful in order to help trans people off themselves less. They may have side affects but so does a lot of medicine for mental health issues. Dysphoria is a mental health issue. What we need is better therapists and doctors who will make sure the person transitioning is truly ready

I’m a therapist. I grieve for this beautiful young woman. Young people who believe they are transgender NEED deep, skillful therapeutic care. If the emotional/psychological issues are addressed and resolved and the person still believes they are transgender, so be it. But so, so often, there are emotional/psychological issues - often in the family system - that are manifesting in the rejection of the self/the body. No one should make any decision in life - great or small - from a basis of self-hatred. This is consistent as I work with trans adolescents and their families: abject hatred of their femininity (for girls). This needs to be explored, not “fixed” by transitioning to male.

When I was a teen, I wanted to be male because I was bullied for not wearing make-up and being "feminine" enough. I also kept hearing about women having to wear high heels to work and just hated the thought so much. I'm honestly glad that was in the early 2000s, when we weren't as "woke". I might have made a terrible mistake I would still live to regret. I still almost never wear make-up and never have worn high heels in my life, but I don't want to be a man. I just want to be a woman who is not a stereotype. It mostly makes me mad and sad when they already label small kids as trans because they aren't a walking stereotype. I remember when nobody worried much about a tomboy phase in a prepubescent girl.

They don't even know what their favorite color is most of the time it's just what the outside influence suggest is their favorite. Only in some cases are kids truly forced to mature so fast but even then they're easy to convince of things. We have to Literally drill cautions in their heads for years for it to stick like stranger danger. Allowing them to change their genders physical appearance and cut parts off is WAY too much when they're not even in puberty yet. It's sad people think that's strength when it's irresponsible.

They practically admitted to the exact same things and I’m just trying to make sure or confirm my theory. I’m someone who began to question his biological sex, not gonna use a controversial term, when I was a child. And funny enough all the people who had the guts to actually explain things to me basically had the same experience but different outcome. So I’m trying to get to the bottom. The root cause of all this since many who don’t share Blaire’s views refuse to explain or elaborate. If anything their refusal only further confirms my theory even more. I empathize with Elle, she’s very brave sharing her mistakes so other can learn from it. Kids who think they are trans should wait til they are 18-20. Transitioning is not like finding out you are gay ie. ‘when you know you’re gay, you’re gay’. Because if in the future turns out you’re straight/bi instead, you can always go back, it isn’t that forgiving once you’ve transitioned. Trans folks, and I mean ALL trans folks should sit down with adults and think about their future. I personally think, if I- in the future want a kid of my own (in my 30-40s), I wouldn’t be able to if I transition at 12-15. I can WAIT til I’m 18-20, freeze my sperm/egg and save it. Transitioning is a decision with long term, irreversible effects, so please talk about it like it is, be patient, safe and careful.

I socially transitioned at 15 and medically transitioned at 17. I'm now in my 20's, I have a very different/more mature concept of my gender identity than I did back then; however, I wouldn't go back for anything in this world, as I probably would've ended my own life otherwise, it was an extremely disparaging time to exist. Perhaps it's not a matter of age (as age doesn't equal maturity), as it is a matter of personal intent in wanting to transition in the first place and the disparities we might face with our gender. Is it due to stigma? Social expectation? Or is it something more innate, like my case and many others', for example. Though I've always been mentally mature at a very young age, which could be another critical asset. The only thing I suggest is to not base it around age at all, it means nothing when people are so different from each other.

@@nibbatron6283 yes, I was very depressed, I think a discomfort can happen with oneself and you can misinterpret it in a way. I didn't like myself, or my body, for sexual abuse I endured very young. I think I just wanted to be someone else, so I didn't have to deal with that part of my life anymore. Everyone is different, I think medical transition should be a prescription, not entirely given out easily. I just signed informed consent papers, and was given hormones. I was so sure that was what I needed. It's really not a knock on anyone trans but I think the issue is more complex for some people. Even when I was so sure that transition was what I needed after living socially male for 5+ years. Using male restrooms and all lol. I think a lot of people need therapy, I never got it, but I think it could have helped me get through those issues without supressing them for so long. I don't regret transition or that time of my life, it taught me a lot, and I'm lucky I don't feel the regrets a lot of people do. Thanks for sharing your story too

From the age of 5 until I was about 16 I thought I should have been born a boy. I was attracted to women and all of the "boy" things. I wore basketball shorts and beater and always wore a hat and I have to say I genuinely felt like a boy as long as I didnt look in the mirror or see my naked body. At 16 I still felt that way most days, then some days I felt so curvy and feminine and wanted to feel like a woman. Then, some days I felt like a football player in a dress so I dressed more masculine. I am now 37 years old and I STILL wake up some days feeling masculine and some days feeling so feminine. I could be called gender fluid I guess, but the truth is I'm just a human that wants to be comfortable in my skin. Cool. Honestly i admire women like you & find them sexy! Those who are chameleon like & can switch up their looks & rock both tomboy & feminine looks, I think androgyny can be really sexy. I dont see why it’s such a big deal to some people or the need to always make it about our identity or gender. Im a natural born female, have always enjoyed my femininity so I feel very blessed about that now coming to slowly understand trans issues better. I’m mostly straight, i think we’re all on a spectrum... & one ex in particular i remember very fondly, I appreciated how confident & free spirited he was, he was like me, mostly straight, but had experimented a little (just like making out) w/same sex... he would enjoy holidays or occasions to dress up, cross dress, wear makeup- music festivals etc. & he was one of the sexiest guys i ever knew. It would honestly be such a more joyful world if everyone had more fun, and less shame over all these things. I feel blessed to feel relatively confident in myself these days, at this age. Even as a feminine woman, I still have another aspect to myself where I have a very masculine energy sometimes.... This is actually the concept of Yin & Yang- Yin is the more feminine, receptive, nurturing moon energy. Yang is the Solar, active, masculine, assertive energy. We all have a little of both, and it can change moment to moment. There’s no real need to identify with those more subtle & super impermanent shifts in our energy & tastes & who we want to be that day ✨💕✌️

I wasn't able to start medically transitioning until I was 19, and I truly wouldn't have been able to continue living if I had to wait even longer (I knew that I was trans since I was 13, and my teenage years were hell living as someone I wasn't.) I get that it's a difficult topic though, because while I know transitioning earlier would have been good for me, obviously it's not the same story for everyone else. We really need to do more research into gender dysphoria and educate people more about this before they start hormones. Letting kids express themselves and/or go by a different name is a good way to let them explore their feelings w/o making life-changing decisions.

Fwiw you come across as an authentic person and not some misogynistic caricature of a woman, and I admire that you pursued a path that helps you live a more authentic and intentional life. Moreover, you don’t demand that others accept you as female, because it’s not about seeking other people’s validation. You’ve made me think about trans people in a more humanizing way and recognize transphobia when it happens. I feel so much sympathy for your guest. It’s so sad that these voices are stifled online. I wonder whether she could get vocal training to help with the deep voice? Anyway, I’ve returned to this video a few times. The really freaky thing here is that Blaire sounds more feminine than Elle, but even with the changes, Elle's features, expressions are more "real"? If that is a thing. But both of you have gone through changes that can never fully be reversed. There is no undo. You move forward, choosing your direction. It is a huge responsibility. It is insane this journey can start before you're old enough to vote. As a woman, I don't think I became the person I am now (well, that keeps changing), till I was almost 30. Women in particular are a mess of hormones for a long time. I've never fit into anything all my life and I can't even blame it on gender. Even if there were such a thing as a psychological need to change gender (specifically, as opposed to a choice to alleviate dysphoria - which, frankly can be anything from age to psychology) - the process to conclude that reliably would be incredibly complex. I don't see the competent professionals to correspond with the flood of trans people and I can't but help think a lot of people are making choices for all their life on very flimsy evidence and even more flimsy thinking from a place of emotional distress.

I don’t agree with transitioning, but I also don’t believe one has the right to force anyones state of thinking. The developmental process is soooo fragile for each of us and it’s a personal journey. I left a comment that was very similar to this, but I went into more detail. I was also about 6 yrs old or so when I kept saying I wanted to be a boy. I stopped saying it around 7 or 8, but still wanted to look and dress more like a boy. So my mom cut off my long hair (it was down to my butt) and bought me boys clothes and I was happy as a clam. Till about 14 yrs old when I discovered Madonna and I instantly started to wear make up and change how I dressed to look like her and I also grew my hair out. I am now a mother and wife and so grateful that I am, I cannot imagine how awful it would have been for me if my parents took my wanting to be a boy literal and had me transition. Hey Blaire, thanks so much for giving Elle a chance to share her story with us. I do want to mention one thing on the subject of transitioning at a young age. Others have mentioned below that gender dysphoria is a very hard thing to live with, and I've known since I was very young (1960s) that there was something "different" about me, always wanting to know what a girl was thinking about, why she chose the clothes she was wearing, how she got her hair into a certain style...and I wanted that. In other words, by the age of 10, I was already wearing my sister's wigs, etc. However, in those days transitioning was never openly discussed. I know in my heart that I had to have said something to my parents and it must have been laughed off as though I was going through another "thing!" So, I just can't agree with the concept that people are just to young (teenage years) to make the right choice for themselves, though for some it may have been rushed. I never transitioned, never tried HRT, and I live a rough life psychologically living with this dysphoria. But I do wish the best for all trans folks, especially those who need to de-transition, because until you find peace within yourself about your true self, you live in this limbo wondering what if. And Blaire, your transition is amazing, you're beautiful. Thanks for you time.

Growing up in China, I was very active as a child, and that led me to being called an unacceptable girl and a wannabe boy by my family and friends, and even strangers. Growing up then, I became so frustrated from when I was 3-8 years old, I wanted to become a boy so I can satisfy what I thought was myself, and everybody else. And now a days I describe it as gender dysphoria that was forced down upon me, and something I did suffer through at one point. I was born in the US and I distinctly remember when I moved back to the US and I learned about LGBT, i whole heartedly thought that this was the way out. Now as a teenager I know that i’m a girl, even if i’m active i’m still a girl. It’s gross to think about how different things would be if I was trans, except it’s not too different. If I was trans I would be shamed by my family for being trans. But now that I figured out that i’m a girl and I want to remain a girl I was still shamed for the way I dress, because I dressed to girly. I’m shamed for my makeup because it’s too girly.

Girls and women get shamed and judged for literally anything they do. We should address that, rather than encouraging them to become men to be free to do whatever they want. That is why the number of ftm young transsexuals has surpassed the number of mtf. It's just sad. We should overcome the idea that gender stereotypes are compulsory, instead of making people believe they are trans because they can't conform to them. Feminists have been saying this forever, that is why radical trans activists hate them so much. Sorry for my poor english, I wish you all the best! Only recently found your channel and researched about this whole topic of trans, detransitioning, trans kids, etc and the more I learn the more grateful I am for being a 90s kid and not having to be a young person having to navigate this craziness. As a young girl, pre-puberty, I was a tomboy. Then in my mid 20s I was diagnosed with PCOS and my abusive ex was very nasty to me about it, calling me a man and transgender because of my pcos symptoms. Now in my 30s I'm not as much of a tomboy as I was as a child. I still have more male interests but as I went through puberty and became an adult I became more feminine and my fashion sense and how I present is very femanine, bleach blonde hair, makeup daily, I wear pink often, etc. I'm glad that as a child I was allowed to be who I was and allowed the time and space to grow into my femininity as I got older rather than be judged and medicalized because as a kid I didn't present myself as a human Barbie doll... I am also high functioning autistic but not diagnosed as a child, and I have always got on with male friends better than female friends. I know if I was a young child today the trans activist mob would have targeted me and I dread to think what would have happened. Bring back tomboys and let kids just be kids

Doctors are too quick to pacify rather than clarify and rectify. I was put on antidepressants at 15 and even the doctor said at the time that I was the youngest person she had ever given antidepressants to but she had been instructed to do it to get fast results. I just thought 'well the doctor knows best' and did what I was told. Been on them ever since without much actual therapeutic intervention and feel trapped on my reliance of them. Can only imagine the pressure doctors put on those questioning their gender identity.

Why isn’t there a law where you aren’t allowed to transition until you’re 18+???

Bc, for many people cant wait till then to get treated for this, many end up killing themselves bc they vant wait till 18, it's not easy, and some have bad experiences but SO MANY are doing great now bc they could transition, and its effect is weaker the later on in life you start

i'm 24 and I'm so happy i didn't have to grow up in these later years. our teens and tweens are being bombarded with so much information above their age rang and its confusing them at a very important stage of their lives. i'm a biological female and growing up i was the textbook definition of a tomboy. I loved the mud, biking, hockey, fishing and hunting. I wore more boyish clothes and didn't care about female trends. even as an adult i'm still a tomboy i go hunting and fishing with my nails done (lol) wear dresses and like girly things but i'm going into the video game industry. my friends and I always make the joke that i'm either one of the other a tomboy or a girly girl no in between lol. didn't make me trans or gay or anything, it was just personal interests and the home I grew up in. but now, if a kid steps out of their gender norms they are hounded with questions if they are trans or have a disorder so hard they start to question it themselves. let the kids freaking live their lives and be happy with what ever interest they have.

It angers me so much. Parents should be monitoring their child's usage of the internet. I warned people about this several years ago, but many of them would just virtue-signal and claim I was somehow the bad guy because, "Kids should be free to express themselves and do whatever they want." And/or they'd label me as some type of "x-phobic." People only bother to become aware of, let alone attempt to solve issues, once SHTF.

Rem Remm I agree and disagree at the same time. I get why you say that parents should limite kids usage of the internet but I feel like there should be more conversation than just limitations of knowledge. For example when eight year old kids discover inappropriate content usually in the form of pop up adds parents make such a big deal out of it and blame it on the child who had nothing to do with it. In those cases I think it’s more important to just sit them down and have a conversation about why it’s inappropriate and to just ask them to tel their parents when they see such things so the parents can deal with it calmly. I think the same thing should happen with this subject. If a child thinks they are trans a parent should have a calm conversation about waiting until their brains are developed to transition if it still applies. People may say that a child won’t listen to their parents but there’s a lot more to that. If a parent yells at their child for discovering something instead of being calm the child will learn to hid things so the won’t be punished or yelled at. People need to learn to be a lot more mature when dealing with children. My father has always dealt with things calmly and rarely blamed me for knowing about shit and I’ve grown to really respect his input, meanwhile my mother is the opposite and I’ve grown to dismiss her input and hide things from her. It’s important to help a child grow as their own person instead of being emotional and yelling at them.

I am 15 years old and recently had a similar conversation with my mother, I have always felt comfortable as a woman but because a friend revealed to be "non-binary" I started to have doubts about myself, i.e. I don't think there are more than two genders but I respect who does, the problem is when I start to doubt about my , and come to the conclusion that the excess information is what was hurting me
@resurrectionevil6581
@resurrectionevil6581 4 жыл бұрын
@@emelymarcelo9454 what's important is that YOU feel comfortable. Don't worry what others think. I always remember the time my mom "stealthily" tried to see if i was gay just because I didn't date and still don't date :/ I guess no one is allowed to be comfortable on their own anymore (rolls eyes) and I bet me being a tomboy played up her suspicions too lol I remember being a late bloomer was a thing back when I was growing up, and I associated myself with that group, but now that's gone too. And you're right, the amount of information being shoved into your faces today is mind boggling and filled with half baked data. As long as you're happy, that's all the info you'll need.

And even tho i still think am trans, i dont label myself as much since i dont want to put myself in a box, am not sure trans and i still have various other mental problems that i want to cure before my gender. Ur videos really helped khow when the time is right so tysm, ur not like other trans creator who just tell u "u are trans if u do this or that"

What a couple of old souls. Lovely. This is a failing of all adults. Period, unreal, to place an expectation on a human being, who has only lived in the world for 15 years, with no life experience beyond school and the home, as a consequence of nothing more than the age they happen to be, that somehow, they could know, and be so certain, about something so permanent. What a miserable failing of adults, medicine, and society. Despicable, and unforgivable. Grow up, parents. Jesus. Unreal.

Nah, I've seen a lot from her and I have absolutely nothing but respect and love for her. People don't understand how incredibly difficult it is to make an enormous life-changing decision, not once but twice, where the second is an admission that the first one was a tremendous mistake/failure. Considering the circles I've travelled with (especially in the past ~5 years through recovery) It's very common for people to stick with a bad decision because of how much that initial choice cost them. I think that's why the suicide rate for T people and addicts is so high. We are now dealing with some extremely immature, brainwashed children who have literally tried to Nerf the entire world for their security from experiencing pain. It started with the boomers but it's impossible to deny that it isn't just as prevalent in GenX, Millennials, and getting worse in GenZ/Alpha.

8:48 This right here is so powerful. I remember growing up in a very sexist household and at 4 years old praying to God I would wake up with a penis. I hated everything about being a girl at that time. Then as I got older I realized that I didn’t hate being a girl. I hated how I was forced to express my femininity. Knowing that interests, colors, activities, careers don’t have a gender changed everything for me. It actually made me proud to be a woman because I felt like it was my responsibility to be true to myself and represent my definition of womanhood.

We should all be living for eternity and focused on morality (including being grateful for God's design--he made us all completely unique with varying degrees of beauty, masculinity, and femininity--instead of vanities and the praises of mankind. God's definition of femininity is very different from mankind's and does not involve heels, makeup, and acquiring praise and/or lust for our outward appearance. Likewise, helping others is more praiseworthy in God's eyes than accumulating excess possessions. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmfHpJl4l7-ZjdU

Freud called this stage in a girl's development "penis envy," lol. He may have been right. Freud believed most women don't remember this stage because it is at about 2 or 3 years old and they repress those feelings. If the girl gets through this stage successfully she will accept her lack of a penis and when she grows up she will enter into a relationship with a man and he can "share" his penis with her through sex and marriage. If she doesn't get through this stage successfully, Freud thought it could cause her to become a lesbian.
