Saiki-san's English is just better now overall so easier to understand when she sings. But Band-Maid has always sung in a Nihongo/English mix throughout their career and it isn't random. :) Sometimes the English even rhymes with the Nihongo.

Generally they sing in a Japanese and English mix. Not always, but a lot of the time.

The Band always have a certain level of English in their songs....However, early on their accent was very pronounced and made it difficult to understand the lyrics...Nice Reaction on this video - keep up the good work - Peace & Respect from Montreal
