second question: which one of the plugins included in this bundle is your favorite? does it make sense to have them all?

Even though they are all Neve inspired, even the hardware all had sonic differences. the 73 is classic, but many don't know that the 84 is nearly the same, but with an additional eq band. The 81 is also similar with additional bands, but the hardware was a little different. the 31102 is based on a "newer" console. I think you'll go really far with the 73 or 84 versions, but they all have a home, we may not have found the right source yet though!

These equalizers are my new go-to's! I think I'll be sticking with them for a long time because I compared them with real Neve hardware (unfortunately not the same model) and they sound quite close to my ears.

No, the RuleTech is hi and low filters and passive style EQ's. And yes, the Need collection are based on Neve units!

simple question, where would you place the pre-amp in the insert chain?

You can either use it at the start of the chain and add in a subtitle amount of saturation, or you can add it at the end of the chain with a different “even” level of signal going in and get consistent saturation! The sky is the limit!
