What can I say? ABBA were my first music love. This video is very special to me, and I hope I can share the joy I felt with you. Some songs are far more chopped up then I had liked due to copyright so I hope you understand. What were your thoughts on Voyage? If you like the video, please like and subscribe if you’d like to off course haha Thanks for your support!

I'm tickled at how giggly you get listening to brand new ABBA after so many years. To be honest, I was the same way when the surviving The Beatles created two more songs on Anthology 1 and Anthology 2 in 1995 & 1996 using demos from John Lennon

Love it... I remember them from the 1970s. "Waterloo" was a hit in fall 1974. I was 18. It is a masterpiece that is an anomaly in the 2020s (think rap, Autotune, etc. UGH!).

Wonderful, Caroline! Being an ABBA fan for more than 50 years now, it's a pure pleasure for me to see a much younger lady enjoying this music in such a wonderful way. One can feel how much these masterpieces of pop music mean to you. Your reaction to this unbelievable ABBA-comeback is one of the very very few on the net that is 100% authentic. i've been watching the ABBA Voyage reactions on KZbin for a week and yours is the best i've seen. not only because of your love of music but mostly your understanding of it. i love the way you break down each song. i love the way you show us on your keyboard. your input in your reactions gave me new perspective on this amazing album. i love ABBA and thank you for teaching me to have a deeper appreciation of this new release from the best band and best musicians in the music industry. i specially love them for the lovely people they are. they make beautiful songs, they are beautiful people outside but most importantly they are beautiful souls inside - where it matters most. thanks for your in depth reaction. i truly enjoyed this. thanks!

Some people criticize that ABBA's music hasn't evolved in the last 40 years. Others praise that ABBA's music hasn't changed in the last 40 years. So, you can't please everyone, but I would say that most fans fit in the second category.

No worries, Caroline, this album made me cry, too. Not to mention a lot of smiling, blissing out, and dancing along, too. I've probably posted this before, but they had so adamantly dismissed reforming, I *knew* the album would have to be *great.* A lot of the wisdom of their years is evident here. Certainly a different vibe, more sentimental and lush, but great just the same. Nothing within light years of filler. Could a great band come back decades later, even *better?* Glad to have ya back, ABBA!

I've played this album a few times now and a few tracks give me goosebumps. The two initial singles are both excellent, as you said "I still have faith in you" is a perfect way to start the album and Frida's vocal is like a comforting hug, then Agnetha with her emotion and moving from a slow lyric to the uptempo in "Don't shut me down" works beautifully. I also love "When you danced with me", I've always thought that Abba's music would fit so well with an Irish feel and I can see "Celtic Woman" covering this as a stomping song in their shows! "Keep an eye on Dan" is very clever and again has an excellent musical arrangement, incredibly catchy. The stand out song for me though and I think is destined to be considered an Abba classic in years to come is "I can be that woman". An intense story of an alcoholic woman prepared to try to repair the damage she has caused in her relationship, Agnetha captures the emotion unbelievably even more so than in "The Winner takes it all" and the melody is mind blowing. I loved your review, so good to see someone captivated and emotional over beautiful music!

It's funny, I am of an age where I remember them the first time around. I am not a devoted fan but liked the music. The blend of their voices is still an uplifting and beautiful sound. Like others, it made me smile to hear them again and I felt happiness Hearing actual singing with meaning. So much missing from today's "pop" music. In the song "I still have Faith in you", it felt as much as though it's their message to their fans. That, although they have been away for so long, they still have love for their fans. The album felt like a homage to who Abba had been in the past. A gift to the fans. Who knows if there will b more from them but at least they gave their fans possibly a final kis - and insight into how Abba might have sounded like over the years and so answering that inner wondering.

Love your reaction to "Voyage" album and yes, it really brings out emotions. "When You Danced With Me" sounds like "The Piper" and a little like "Move On" from their earlier albums. "Don't Shut Me Down" chorus starts me jigging and jiving too ... love it... along with toe-tappers "Just A Notion" and "No Doubt About It". Brilliant orchestration and composition from Benny and Bjorn along with the two greatest voices in the business, Anni-Frid and Agnetha.

Coincidentally, "When You Danced With Me" is also my favourite song on this album. Actually, itäs very hard to choose the most favourite song because I personally love every single one. This album was the most unexpected and the most expected at the same time. It was like a miracle because they turned down the offerings to reunite before. But they finally did it themselves, they just gathered together and unveiled such an awesome masterpiece work. I am a bit delirious and incoherent, but for me, that was true happiness. They didn't repeat themselves on this album, I mean this one is very fresh and original, but at the same time musically it comprises plenty of references to their older songs as well as their post-ABBA projects ("Chess" and "Kristina från Duvemåla" musicals, Benny's instrumental albums, music for Gemini (Bumblebee resembles "Mio My Mio" by its flute), solo albums of Agnetha and Frida). It sounds classical and so timeless. It is gorgeous. It was such a great pleasure to hear again these voices. For me, ABBA music always meant a lot. I started learning English, translating their lyrics. With the passage of time I got my translator diploma, I found so many awesome people beyond my country, whom I can't imagine my life without. Their music was so influential in my life, it has become a part of me. And this album is such a great present for all loyal fans. They completed this on the same level, they didn't devaluate themselves what many people were afraid of the most. It's just a miracle. It's magic. Brilliant!

The emotion that comes out when you hear these tracks, especially the first one released "I still have faith in you" I'm 62 and quite strong for my age, but it really got to me emotionally and by the time I'd heard Don't shut me down, i was a wreck..... but ABBA does this too you, and after 40 years its no different! The only sad thing to come out of all of this is when the final curtain comes down on the Avatar concert.... it really is goodbye, but it'll never be over for me, I'll love and remember ABBA fondly, whatever time i have left in my life...... "WE'VE ALWAYS HAD FAITH IN YOU" WE LOVE YOU! #AbbaForeverXXX

Yes, I love what you said: it all comes down to instruments and them singing together! These songs are so pure of heart, and filled with such love and gentleness and emotion. And the way they write and (especially) produce the songs, it's like a rush of melody and harmony and emotion, it's overwhelming. And hey, it's good to weep at music, no need to be embarrassed! You're a songwriter, so you should know! If someone cries at one of the songs you wrote....wouldn't you feel like you just scored a goal? I one time choked up at a song my friend wrote, I called him, cried into the phone, he probably felt like the King of Music, it probably made his day! :P

Just discovered your channel through your "Money Money Money" clip that is so well done und fun. I was 13 when "The Visitors" came out und it had such an impact on my musical journey ever since then, like all of ABBAs music. To hear a new album 40 years later is such a strange experience. Obviously the new tracks can not live up to all of these iconic songs that are so deeply rooted in their time and in our memories. But I enjoy the new ones. "Don't Shut Me Down" is a masterpiece. We got some beautiful ballads, and "Just A Notion" and "No Doubt About It" is pure ABBA fun. With "Dance" and "Bumblebee" I'm still on the fence, to be honest, and a Christmas song shouldn't be on an album like this, but "Ode To Freedom" is such a great way to end the album. I enjoyed hearing and seeing the reactions of a young fan. Thank you Caroline!

Great reaction Caroline! It took me a few listens, but now I love the new album! The song that grabbed me right away was "Keep An Eye On Dan"! It's vintage ABBA combining melancholy and dance with an uncommon theme. Love the chorus and powerful vocals with all 4 members chiming in. I love the sustained guitar in the second verse, and the synths. Just everything on a classic ABBA song, which features nods to SOS. I also love the retro sound in the joyful "Just A Notion", and am glad they finished this song that showcases the free spirit of early ABBA with youthful vocals and a rollicking piano extro to die for when Benny counters the a-haa parts with the chorus underneath. And ofcourse, I love "Don't Shut Me Down", a wonderful, danceable ABBA pop song. Great bass on this and the ladies are magic together in the chorus. The lyrics here are great too - "...I'm like a dream within a dream that's been decoded...I'm now and then combined" - reintroducing us to their music after 40 years, and also introducing the ABBAtars.

Wow, Caroline! ABBA is more than just one of the greatest bands on planet earth. Please let me tell you something: I've been an ABBA fan for about 45 years. I whatched the ABBA-movie at a German cinema in 1979 as an 11 year old kid and I started crying as soon as 'Thank you for the music' had started to play. Can you imagine? As a grown up, I was more focussing on Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, on bands like Queen and Iron Maiden. Until today, I haven't forgotten my roots and I still have my three favorite bands: ABBA, Queen and Iron Maiden. Do you think that this would be a contradiction? No, not really, right? All three bands are real legends! All three bands have shown instrumental and musical skills for decades. And all three bands perform strong melodies right to your heart, even if their music styles are quite different. I wish you all the best for YOUR future! Please keep on enjoying music diversity.

I would say I'm surprised how good it is considering how long it has been since the last time they released an album. Don't care too much for the ballads; although they are pretty, they aren't as memorable, but "Little Things" already went in my Christmas playlist. The best tracks are the upbeat ones: "Don't Shut Me Down", "When You Danced With Me", "Just a Notion", "Keep an Eye on Dan" and "No Doubt About It". Those have the memorable hooks ABBA is known for.

Benny has been out for some 25-30 years though, playing with his large band. Mostly in folkparks and dance places near his home and in a more acoustic style and setting than Abba. But they could sometimes do perhaps four or five Abba songs on some of their concerts. So he has kept it going, so to speak.

You pointed out so many musical things I didn't notice on my many listens to this amazing peace of art yet, although being a musician myself (even if just hobby-wise). My least favourite song (if there is such thing on this album) was "Keep An Eye On Dan" but after this video I will listen to it in a completely different way. My personal favourites change with every listen I'd say but "Just A Notion", "When You Danced With Me", "Don't Shut Me Down" or "No Doubt About It" are just pure class and oldschool ABBA as you said!

I love the new album - and your reaction! Cleverly, Don't Shut Me Down features not only the piano gliss at the beginning like Dancing Queen but they're both at 110 BPM and the sax intro rhythm mimics the opening melody of Dancing Queen (Dotted minim, crotchet, dottom minim, etc.). Very subliminal to draw on the memories of the other song. Just A Notion has the original vocals but they've completely rerecorded the backing with more of a Waterloo piano feel (rather than just guitars). Keep An Eye on Dan - IS - S.O.S.!!! :D with that piano riff at the end, in D minor at the same tempo or so! FAB!

Bumblebee He likes the lilacs in my garden I love to watch him fly He's just a tiny, fuzzy ball And I wonder how he can fly at all A world without him I dread to think what that would be And I imagine my distress It would be a new kind of loneliness But for now, I'm in my garden Watching clouds sail with the breeze Feeling carefree as I listen To the hum of bumblebees It's quite absurd this summer morning To think we could be trapped Inside a world where all is changing Too fast for bumblebees to adapt From thyme to bluebell From hyacinth to lily rose Oh, how I do adore the sight Of his rather clumsy, erratic flight And for now, I'm in my garden Watching clouds sail with the breeze Feeling carefree as I listen To the hum of bumblebees Yes, for now, I'm in my garden Watching clouds sail with the breeze Feeling sad for those who'd never Hear the hum of bumblebees Oh, yes, for now, I'm in my garden Watching clouds sail with the breeze Feeling sad for those who'd never Hear the hum of bumblebees

It astounds me how many reactions fail to discuss the deeply profound message of Ode to Freedom. It is their final song for a reason. Of course musically it is beautiful. Thank you Bennie. But the words are giving a very deep and heartfelt message to all of humanity. Study the lyrics.

Ode To Freedom If I ever write my Ode to Freedom It will be in prose that chimes with me It would be a simple Ode to Freedom Not pretentious, but with dignity I would like to think that freedom is More than just a word In grand and lofty language Odes to Freedom often go unheard If I ever wrote my Ode to Freedom Being privileged and spoilt for choice Then I fear that you would Be suspicious Of the cause to which I'd lend my voice It's elusive and it's hard to hold It's a fleeting thing That's why there is no Ode to Freedom truly worth remembering I wish someone would write an Ode to Freedom that we all could sing

I love all your videos. If I may be so bold to offer you a stylistic suggestion; I'd love to see you do your presentation in living room setting, with a killer vintage Stereo system, and a walnut round table with a glass of Sherry on it. That's just me.

Lovely reaction and your musical experitise also points out a few things I'd not picked up on after two weeks listening to Voyage. Thats no suprise reallly, as even now I can still listen to their old material and still hear new things. With 'Voyage' I instantly thought of the line 'I'm hearing Images I'm seeing songs' because simple everyone of the 10 tracks is a story painted in words and music, to explore. What also strikes me with Voyage is that urge to explore different genres on the album is still present, as it was in every ABBA album. Agnetha really should win a vocal oscar for her performance on 'I Could Be That Woman' and the strength and depth of Frida's voice on 'I Still Have Faith In You' is simply mindblowing. This album, which none of us old fans ever expected, is truly amazing. But then any fans who have followed their solo work since 1983 will instantly know all four of them deffinately still had it in them, to write, produce, arrange and sing new songs.

Lovely to hear a reaction from someone who has musical knowledge. Great reaction/review. "I still have faith in you" is a beautiful song. And it is a great album opener. "When you danced with me" is delightfully Abba. "I can be that woman now" is lovely, but doesn't have the Abba sound I'd hoped for. "Keep an eye on Dan" is clever and the hook from SOS at the end is clever. I think you liked this, and given today's chart news, it sounds as if you aren't alone.
