Stray Kids are self-produced from the very beginning. 100 percent of the songs are written personally by the members. They have a production group of 3 people (3racha), almost all the music is written by them. The group was assembled by their leader Bang Christopher Chan, he was a long-time trend in JYPe, and the director of the company allowed him to choose the members of the group himself. The debut of the group was through a survival show, initially there were 9 of them and they were able to make their debut together (after a year and a half, one member left the group). Now there are eight of them, nominally they have positions, but they do not adhere to them, this is a group of k-pop aces (everyone raps, sings, and dances). Chan wrote music for many tracks, sometimes they cooperate with someone, but they are always actively involved in the process. For them, music is a means of expression, and they are very sensitive to the selection of tracks in each album. P. S. There are 2 guyes from Austrelia tho: our best leader Bang Chan and amazing low voice Felix))

Love your Aussie reaction. Stray Kids are a self produced group meaning they write the lyrics, compose the sound and melodies, arranged the sound and instruments, create their own beats and produced 99.9% of their music. If they have help they are still hands on with help. All have written songs but they have 3 members that are the founding members of the group and a rap unit to that is also the producing team of stray kids. That unit is called 3Racha and consist of the leader Christopher Bang Chan (also known as Bang Chan Blonde hair with arrow pointing at him), Changbin (guy in the box), Han (gun to his head). Felix the one with the controller has one of the deepest voices in k-pop but he can go higher. The leader Bang Chang and Felix are from Australia. Bang Chan moved there when he was a baby and Felix was born and raised in Australia. Bang Chan trained for 7 years starting at the age of 13 years old when he moved back to Korea to train and Felix moved to Korea at age 17 yrs old and only knew the basics of the Korean language. Lee Know (looking in mirror) use to be a back up dancer for BTS prior to that he study and competed in dance. Changbin, Han, and Hyunjin (blonde rapper with gun) were in the top 10 fastest rappers in k-pop for 2021. The thing to remember is Stray kids can do it all. They can all rap, sing and dance and because they produce their own music they love to experiment with their sound. They care about their lyrics and they really love what they do. You can tell it isn't just about the money it is about spreading their musical sound and touching others. They bring the energy for sure in every thing they do. From what you said about the music you like the harder more energetic songs. I am the same way. You will like Victory Song performance m/v, Gods Menu, Side Effects m/v, TOP (Japanese version and is an intro to anime series Tower of God), The Sound (just released Japanese song), They have a wide variety of music sound like no other. 3Racha or the youngest members to become full members of KCOMA (Korean Copyrighted Music Association). It is hard to do and have requirements to meet within 3 years before becoming full members. Between the 3 producing members they have average of 123 songs copyrighted in their names. Their life performances and concerts are adrenaline rushes for sure. They just left Australia on their tour and will be heading to USA this month finishing their tour in April. Hope to see you react more to stray kids. Thank you.

Just to clarify, 3Racha are the producing unit, not the rap unit. Bang Chan, while a perfectly capable rapper, is more of a vocal, while Changbin, Han, Hyunjin and Felix are the main rappers. Everyone is pretty versatile, of course, but if we were judging by what they actually do in most of their music, that's how it would be (with Han being the most varied).

@Fishstar Actually, 3Racha, including Chan, was a Rap unit in their own right before Stray Kids was formed. They still perform their powerful raps together as 3Racha. Not their powerful productions. It just so happens that the boys are talented enough to perform both roles.

Hello, I loved your reaction here's a quick explanation to help you : - All the members were chosen by the leader named : Bang Chan. Chan was a trainee in the entertainment company for 7 years so they let him chose who he wanted for his team (it litterally never happened before in this huge industry, but it was possible thanks to Chan's abilities). Then they went through a survival show, meaning they had to perform in front of the boss, senior artists and the public audience to decide which members will finally debut, and they made their debut with all the 9 members (even though two of them almost failed but the public voted for them to debut with the team) - Stray Kids has 8 members, they used to be 9 but a member called Woojin left to do a solo, now we don't talk about him much considering he was part of the group for a year only - Stray Kids is a self-produced group. The main producers are called 3RACHA : Chan, Changbin and Han. But all the members participate in the writing and producing process, as well as the choreography aspects. They have professionnals choreographers they work with and Stray Kids members give ideas. - They debuted in 2018 under JYP entertainment and as of today they have : 3 full length albums, 1 repackage album,11 mini albums, 3 compilation albums. - The members' stage names are (from oldest to youngest) : Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, I.N - Fan name is STAY (if you are a new stay, fans call you 'baby stay') - 2 members are Australians, the other are all koreans, but 6/8 speak english easily. Here's a fun interview to maybe get to know Stray Kids a little more before diving into their musics: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3_KoGZpjN6ChpY For music recommandations you can maybe gor for the most popular ones: - God's Menu - Back Door - Thunderous - MANIAC - CASE 143 - District 9 (debut) - MIROH - My Pace - Side Effects - Double Knot

They are also a self produced group, so beats like this one and every other one is created mainly by Bang Chan with 2 other members: Han and Changbin. They are the producing unit called 3RACHA, so they create the beats, write the lyrics, arrange the songs, everything (also working with other producers). There's tons os videos of them recording on the studio and Bang Chan had produced some songs while doing a live. Basically, there is no fixed roles, they all can do everything, but they usually stick to what they can do better. Hope you keep reacting to this incredible group!

Stray Kids, Changbin in particular, are known for their crazy complex flows! They are an incredibly experimental group always looking to see what new things they can create. They've done over 40 genres even including psychedelic trance making them the first ever kpop group to use that genre with their song Side Effects. They've even created their own genre dubbed the Mala Taste genre. They are self written, self produced and self composed so they take a lot of pride in their sound. They're always showing us the behind the scenes of their creative process its really amazing. Stray Kids have the most creative freedom I have ever seen in kpop. Other groups that self write/produce, like bts, can still have their music rejected by the company but not SKZ. It was really cool to see you checking out Stray Kids. Stray Kids are a really interesting group because whilst there are many kpop groups that have members who play a role in production and writing Stray Kids was designed to be a completely self-producing group from the offset. They were sort of an experiment for their company (JYP). Bang Chan (the blonde guy having the arrow pointed at him) trained for 7 years and when he was around 19 the company asked him to form his own group, without them playing a role in member selection or role etc.. Stray Kids was founded around a pre-established rap and production unit 3racha (like sriracha sauce) that consisted of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han. They had taken production classes together and been writing and secretly releasing music online for a little while. Bang Chan chose all the members and when Stray Kids was officially selected as a rookie group (aka soon to debut officially) they filmed the debut process in a survival show style. Most survival shows are based around picking members to form a group, their survival show was the company evaluating Bang Chan's line up and testing the group as a whole. They wrote a new song for every evaluation or performance and eventually the official line up (originally 9 but the 9th member left the group a year in) was confirmed and they officially became Stray Kids. Their pre-debut mixtape is available to listen too, and they filmed an MV for their first evaluation song 'Hellevator'. Stray Kids have written, composed, and produced almost every song they have released in their near 5 year career so far, and there are a lot. They average around 3 albums a year, not including the songs each member writes and releases solely on youtube through their 'SKZ Record/Player' series just for self-development and experimentation. 3racha still do the bulk of the production, all three members recently got made official KOMCA (Korean copyright association) members because of their accomplishments, but all members write and compose to some extent and other members' songs are being increasingly included on the main albums. I should probably mention they were between the ages of 16-20 when the group was formed, half of them hadn't finished school yet. SKZ (Stray Kids) are known for their experimentation and atypical structures. They are described as having formed their own genre called 'Mala' because of this, and their songs 'Side Effects' and 'God's Menu' were probably the moment this identity became synonymous with Stray Kids on a global stage. They also, naturally, received some hate and backlash for it. But being Stray Kids they wrote a whole album called Noeasy/Noisy in direct response to being called 'noise makers' with the tongue in cheek opening track 'Cheese' and the fantastically clever track 'Thunderous' that incorporates traditional Korean music and the legacy of traditional Korean musicians (sorrikun- the Korean title of the song) that they claimed as their own. Having said that, they are equally capable of producing ballads, rock based tracks, stripped back piano tracks. Their range is incredible, and the members have had no official positions since the early days because they all became so versatile and developed their skills well (for example the dance leader who debuted as a sub rapper is now an incredibly strong vocalist with excellent falsettos). Since I feel like you would appreciate the progress and development of their sound I would recommend checking out 'Hellevator' (their pre-debut song), 'Side Effects' and 'God's Menu', and then 'Cheese' and 'Thunderous' in that order to pick up the subtle references and how each track evolved their approach. However, Stray Kids has so many songs and they're all interesting and good. For their most recent stuff, 'The Sound' was released just a week or so ago. It's a Japanese release so no subs but it's epic. Their song 'Fam' was released with an MV just before Christmas and is also a fun way to briefly get to know each of the members. And if you want a more melodic sound I would recommend a song like 'Chill' for recent stuff. Whatever you check out, I hope you enjoy it, I'm looking forward to watching your journey.

So this group is pretty unique because they’re pretty much self formed! The leader Bang Chan was a trainee under JYP entertainment for 7 years and was told to choose the members he wanted to debut with. He chose his predebut rap unit 3racha (him, Changbin, and Han) who went on to become the producing team of skz along with Lee Know, Hyunjin, Felix, and IN (as well as a ninth member who left the group in 2019) to make up the group. He also came up with the name for the group, the logo, and I’m pretty sure the group catch phrase as well which you see in every mv at the end! Skz then went through a survival show where they essentially had to prove to the company that they were good enough together to debut. They obviously did and now they’ve been creating amazing music together for almost 5 years! They do have subunits with 3racha danceracha and vocalracha but they don’t have any official positions such as main vocalist or main rapper as they all kinda bounce around doing whatever is needed on the song but typically in most of their title tracks you’ll hear Han, Changbin, Hyunjin, Felix, and sometimes Lee Know rapping and Han, IN, Seungmin, Chan, and Lee Know singing (Han is almost always both singing and rapping)! The fandom name is stay because if you take the r or reason out of stray you get stay so stay are the reason for stray kids existing and making music. Stay try to be a kind and welcoming fandom so please let me know if you have any questions or want any other info! Also sorry that this is like a million words long I just love these guys! They’re so sweet and I hope you check out some more of their music! Ps toe of the members (Chan and Felix) are also Australian!

Its from their 2022 mini-album Oddinary which has 7 diverse songs that you could check out (4 of them have MVs) The comments did a great job explaining them already but long story short: -The leader Bang Chan picked all the other 7 members for this group. He's Aussie as is Felix, another member! (theyre 8 people but used to be 9) -They have a subunit of 3 members (3racha pronounced like sriracha sauce) that produce all their music! The other members have started to contribute to writing as well and have their own solo songs even! - They've been producing their own songs since debut so they're really proud of their sound and have gone through a lot of changes throughout their career (debut in 2018) - They're known for their high energy, sirens, noisy music (hence an album called Noeasy aka noisy), and theyre mostly rap-based but have great vocalists too and slow songs with deep lyrics as well. -- Their most popular songs, that you could check out are: Gods Menu, Back Door, Thunderous, Maniac (2022), Case 143 (most recent korean comeback) and The Sound (most recent japanese comeback) {i also highly recommend their pre-debut song Hellevator because the lyrics and production are so raw bc they did it themselves} Their experimental songs that I really love but have no mv: The tortoise and the hare, Maze of memories, Side Effects Have fun on your journey as a STAY (fandom name)

The kind and friendly Aussie trait from Chan down permeates Stray Kids. I read from Stray Kids sub-reddit a real life experience to demonstrate. A Stay met some lady while on vacation. She did Stray Kids concert not knowing anything about Stray Kids. She said the guys were very down to earth, well mannered, and friendly; no diva or drama queen. They told every support staff that they could watch the concert. Chan thanked them when he’s on stage. Of course the caterer became a Stay from this experience. Here's some info ab them: -They're under a label called JYP enterteinment, and debuted in 2018 -They were kinda an experimental group bc of the fact that the members were all chosen by Bangchan, the lider of the group, which is a rare thing in kpop -They went through a survival show called Stray kids in which they had to prove all the members where worthy of debut, and released Hellevator, their first song as a group, a song made and coreographed all by themselves -Before SKZ were formed, the members Bangchan, Changbin and Han released multiple songs together under the name of 3RACHA, and they're now the main producers of the group -Another thing that diferenciates them from other kpop groups is the fact that they have total freedom of their music, another uncommon thing in kpop, so they write, produce, arrange, etc almost all their discografy, which gave them the opporunity to get experimental with their sound and in fact created a new genre (Malataste) and were the pioneers of psytrance in kpop -They have no arranged roles in the group, so you can find the members singing perfectly in one track and then rapping skillfuly on another, but they do have subunits who focuses more in some areas like Danceracha(Hyunjin, Leeknow, Felix) who creates coreografy, Vocalracha(I.N, Seungmin) who are more in chargue of the vocals and 3Racha (Bangchan, Changbin, Han) who are the main producers and mostly raps -They have a huge discografy with more than 40 genres in it -There are 2 aussie members, Felix and Bangchan -They're 8 members, the younger one being from 2001 and the older from 1997 Sorry if it was too long and for my bad english lol, hope this helps you a bit and hope you continue discovering this amazing group :)

"Bold Statement" is basically the second name of Stray Kids. And they really produce their music by themselves. Their growth is pretty much organic as the label didn't invest in them much in the beginning. Venom is actually a really calm song by them! They are often labeled as "too noisy" in Korea. But they can also create real, heartwrenching ballads. Very eclectic and creative band!

Most of Skz songs are high energy. You will love them! They do have mellow songs as well to round it all out as well. Fully self produced, self song writing group. They are all incredibly talented. They dont have actual roles (main rapper, main vocal etc) because all 8 of them truly do it all. They are all, all rounders. Bang Chan - Leader (Australian) is the main one responsible for the beats. Han and Changbin - The fast rappers - do most of the writing but they make beats as well. The rest of the members have songs writing credits as well. The deep voice - Felix (Australian) that is really his voice. But don't let that fool you... man has RANGE!! His new solo song Deep End he covers 3 octaves.

Really appreciated your reaction coming from a non-musical person. Venom is probably my favourite B-side and it takes me on a ride up and down. The other comments have already introduced them well so I won't go into details. Being self-produced and having their company's blessings, they experiment with lots of different sounds so you'd have to blast reacting/listening to different songs. They also release non-album songs (eg: Mixtape Time Out) and solo projects (SKZ Records) that reflect their own styles so definitely lots to explore if you decide to delve in!

I loved the Linkin Park reference, because I grow up with Linkin park being my favourite band ever and Now I'm a full time STAY (name of the fandom) I often feel familiarity between both bands and it just made me very happy that someone else saw it there. Anyway, if you want to be surprised as a producer they do have some tracks that have really complex structures, like S-class. one of the newest, have been praised by several producers and I would suggest you to check it as I also would love to see your reaction there. Straykids just keeps their Discography interesting, they have more simple songs and some more complex ones and they work on basis of whathever they fancy to explore every time. I loved your reaction! hope to see more :)

The production unit of Stray Kids are called 3RACHA (word play on the hot sauce Sriracha). The leader (Chan), Han (4th generation ace) & Changbin (aggressive fast rapper). They write and produce all their songs and have been since they were teenagers. All the members were hand-picked by the leader instead of their company, which was unique. 2 are Australian (Leader Chan & rapper Felix) and the rest are Korean.

Stray kids are the machine behind Stray kids, the leader of the group hand picked the members, they produce their own stuff, they even created their own genre called Mala Taste

They write everything. All of it. They each have their strengths, but they can all do all of it. Tortoise & the Hare Maze of Memories Heyday from the SKZ sub unit 3RACHA for more rap, specifically. FREEZE God's Menu Domino Easy Victory Song Charmer Thunderous Back Door Battle Ground

If you're looking for high energy, stray kids have a wide selection. I definitely recommend "God's menu", "Freeze", "Victory song", and their kingdom performances

They write all of their own lyrics. The leader and the two main rappers do most of it. The leader is also the composer and producer with some help from outsiders. They came from a survival show where the leader chose all the members and they had to complete challenges/missions in order to debut all together as a unit.

Great reaction! I love hearing what producers have to say about kpop in particular. Stray kids in place so much emphasis on being self produced (ofc working with some other great producers too) so its nice to see the effort being appreciated. Its mostly Chan (aussie btw!) who crafts the beats and tinkers with the tracks - he's been popping up more in the audio engineering credits too recently. Changbin and Han are such great lyricists and rappers - they give such a heightened level of depth to the Korean language lyrics especially. Skz stand out for me because of their confidence and delivery and every release has brought new dimensions to their sound. I feel like they still have room to develop as producers and songwriters so the future looks exciting! I would recommend Easy and Domino as two high intensity, heavy pop tracks that are quite distinctly stray kids

Thanks for checking them out. Stray Kids quickly became my favourite kpop group after hearing just 2 songs. (Thunderous and God's Menu a couple of years ago) There's not a song I dislike, love the variety they bring, the experimentation between genres, and that everything is from their own hearts and minds and experience as they've got their hands on every part of the production process. And they're hardworking, humble crackheads which is also endearing. 😂 Looking forward to following your journey with them, really enjoyed your breakdowns and insights.

High energy tracks with "attitude" by Stray Kids include All In (which almost no one reacts to but it's awesome), Thunderous, Maniac, Easy, Circus, Cheese, Boxer, Victory Song, Side Effects, Domino. Of course everyone will tell you to look at God's Menu as well. You could also check out some of their latest, like Case 143, which is really pop oriented, Superboard, and The Sound. Every one of those is a little different, and some of them are from early on, when they had 9 members instead of 8, which shifted their sound some.

Oh damn, you picked the right group for pop attitude! I reccomend their songs Double Knot, Freeze, God's Menu, 3Racha (the song, though it's performed by the three members who make uo the subunit called 3Racha), Red Lights, and Domino! For Domino, there isn't a full music video, just a short clip, but there is a full-length dance practice.

Oh and they have some kick-ass Japanese songs too, like Circus and The Sound. One of their most hilarious songs is Christmas Evel; yes thwt is how it's spelled. :)

They are huge. The sub group 3racha writes and products all their music. They have only been around since 2018 and already have about 170 song (credited an uncredited) under their belt. They are rank 4th or 7th on the global charts. They are snatch up award after award. They won Kingdom against 5 other groups. To top things off 2 are Aussie.

Yes Stray Kids are self producing idols n it's quite rare in K pop that how much control they have on their music.. They write, compose, arrange n produce their music...They also made new genre called mala tang genre... They have producing unit called 3 Racha which consists of Chan, Changbin n Han 12:39 this beat is made by 3 Racha memeber n Stary kid's leader Chan back in 2020 here is the utube shot of him making this beat kzbin.infoVp7GMkDVuxw?feature=share ..I just shared the link cause as a producer u might find it interesting Thank u for reacting Stray Kids .. So happy that I discovered your channel! You have such a refreshing view point. I am a sucker for HOW music is made and find it endlessly fascinating. Getting your thoughts on the intricate details is awesome. I feel like no one else I know pays much attention to those things, and I have to just marvel at it on my own. 😆 I have gone deep, deep into the Stray Kids rabbit hole for the last two months and haven’t been this excited about music in quite some time. They are AMAZING. I hope you continue to check them out. I think you’ll enjoy the journey!

3RACHA- the producing team in straykids (Bang Chan, HAN, and Changbin) produce and write most of their songs for the album they have 4 main rappers and 4 main singers but they can all sing rap and dance. Usually when making groups they pick them themselfs but JYP let Bang Chan/the leader picked out the members himself. also Felix and chan are from australia.

Stray Kids officially don’t have positions anymore, but they/us still just refer to them for what they’re known for to make it easier. They did come from a survival show! However it isn’t the usual type, chan, the leader actually chose all of the members before hand, and the show was basically a test to see if they were ready to debut. Skz are also completely self produced: they have 100% input on their music. Basically, they have 100% writing credits, around 80-90% of the composing is all them and around 50% of the arranging is them as well. Most of the producing is done by their production unit; 3racha, consisting of 3 of the members, but ALL members have composing and writing credits, I think all of them have over 17, with 3racha all having over 120 credits.

Yes, stray kids write and compose ALL their songs, mostly 3racha(producing unit within the group) and most tracks are produced by Bang Chan their leader.
