Just the video I was looking for. All my waterfowl is Sitka and I’ve currently got a few things First Lite and wasn’t sure if I wanted to go Sitka Subalpine for bow and rifle season. Sold me in these pants, so I’ll be making the purchase today. Keep the content coming.

Super glad to hear that this video helped you in your decision. Love these pants. I’ve tried Sitka pant too and just took them back. Tried multiple pair but the knee pads never fit right and they just felt weird on me. Great brand, just not a fan of their pants for that purpose.

Really appreciate that! I’ve been slacking on putting real content out over the last two years due to being deployed during hunting seasons and now my new career taking up so much time. But I have put in for a ton of Texas draw hunts and I’ll be putting out a life update video here in the next month or two

Are they more tapered than the standard corrugates? Mine seem baggy but I'm a smaller person. I heard the obsidian foundry are more tapered

I’m probably the worst person for this question haha. To be frank I’ve got a thick lower side so most pants tend to be more tight on me. I would say these are more form fitting though. The other pants I have are more loose in the calves, in a good way. These fit better in the calves in a good way. My explanation behind that: I would prefer these in rough rocky country or snowy country. They seem to be better fitting around the boot cuff for that kind of situation and more sturdy to where snow won’t push up inside it as easily. The other pants I have from them are looser around the cuff and I prefer them for archery season, hot-cold doesn’t matter. I’ve used them to 19 degrees with thermals on and loved it. But rocks hurt more, the pant cuff flows more and when I push through thicker deer woods it doesn’t brush as hard and sounds quieter. I know that’s more than you probably asked for, but I hope that helps you in some way.

I just drug my target buck out of super thick brairs. I was wearing cheap wrangler ATG synthetic pants and they are completely shredded along woth my legs. Is this a similar material? I meed something that will bust through super thick briars.

@@tylerhestla3022 I wear those Wranglers every day for work and did as a contractor over seas in Iraq. They are not for the thick like that for sure. Sorry about your legs! Caught them on barb wire once, was a mess. These are not like the Wranglers. They feel way better in the thicker brush. They’re a bit more protective too. Now they’re still a more stretch based pant material that isn’t like canvas which is better for the briars. But I would wear these for that purpose.

Do they get quieter with washings/use?
@FieldToTableOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I haven’t noticed them being very loud while I’ve used them more. So I guess that’s possible. But they weren’t too loud to start. I can say these have become my favorite pants.

I’m 4 seasons in with mine. Absolutely amazing pants. The durability is top notch, semi breathable and surprisingly water resistant. They also dry very fast. The fit is absolutely perfect and the pocket configuration is literally perfect

These pants changed my whole view on front thigh pockets. They have become my favorite pants for basically all scenarios.
