I would love to get this for my 78 GMC C6500 I know the dash is the same as the smaller pickup trucks C10, 20, 30 Does it have a Vacuum gauge?

If the cluster/dash is the same as the lighter trucks, it should fit. Sorry, it does not have a provision for a vacuum gauge.

I have a 87 square body with a 6.0 LS style engine and factory GM ECU. Will this be compatible? does it get its signal from the OBD2 port? I have not found much information on the Hardware itself. Also if I plan on swapping to a Holley Terminator X ECU at any point, Could I keep theses gauges?

Yes it's compatible with your engine. I suggest picking up 5284 LS install kit. It does not get signal from the OBDII, all dedicated sensor hookups to the senders that come with it or off the vehicle's sensors. If you swap you can keep this setup no problem.

I like the gauge but for the price and a 12 month Warranty isn't worth it. Breaks down on the 13th then you're screwed buying a new unit.

The price is actually pretty fair when you compare it to other complete gauge systems. And we're told that Auto Meter teamed up with an OEM supplier to bring this system to market, so we wouldn't be too concerned about failure after a year. Auto Meter is a big name and they've been in the game for a long time; they wouldn't launch a new product that's not going to stand the test of time.
