You have to specify in the title that this is obsidian P6 Pro, which is more relaxed and mid forwaed compared to regular Black P6 Pro which is significantly more textured and technical, while being more neutral in the mids. Obsidian was developed with asian market back in mind as a more vocal focused device.

@@ZPProductions definitely try p6 pro black (even better hk / ti) it might be even more up your alley and if you get a chance lp6 ti / ae. The latter competes with very expensive desktop systems maintaining rather small form factor.

I've got the p6 Pro Hong Kong Edition ( i think only 40 worldwide) and it sounds absolutely amazing . So much texture to the sound 😍 Would you also agree its the best sounding dap in the world ?

Yeah I am 50 and my ears just want bass and massive treble to hear music anymore. I have recorded all my music in flac and barely can tell a difference between mp3 😂

Personally I can’t tell the difference between mp3 and flac assume mp3 is max quality and mastering is well done haha. More bass and treble is the in thing now, some dac is obviously tuned that way even though they are supposed to be neutral haha

I swear, Luxury and Precision is one of those companies that throws everything at the walll in their units, but they are overpriced and are never most audiophiles favorite brand. Theyre in a weird spot. Theyre basically trying to be a Bang and Olufson kind of thing...designer looks, good sound--but never excellent

L&P P6 and LP6 lineups are hand soldered devices with shit ton more manual labour and transistor sourcing involved then your regular hibi or cayin, which is mainly where the price comes from. Much lower production volume too. Audiophiles who ho for summit fi usually love L&P stuff, each Ti model sells within a day.

I won't disagree that LP is luxury product as per their name. But compared to the likes of other brands, they do unique stuff which I guess is what people thats going high end will like. A mini flagship DAP is something only they do at this current moment. Spec wise I feel they are quite open (if you can dig it). The only issue is their marketing is real poor. But in regards to their cost, though high, I feel that LP products at least holds their value significantly better than other brands. This does show the community appreciates their products and LP don't keep launching new incremental upgrade every years to make their owners feel bad. Like ever other audio product, I don't think there is a perfect one really. Considering the way above average price of LP, I doubt it matters to them they capture the mass market or not, it's the niche customers that appreciate their product is all it matters. So if anything, they will just tune. it to their flavour and needs. That said, at least for me, I do like their sound on IEM and also on my HEKV. Only not on the Caldara Close. I thought this is a pretty good performance given the size haha.
