You can get most of this at any decent waterpark for $12.99 a day per person any where in the USA. This sort of fleecing is something indicative of how they run other parts of their experience. No wonder cruising has been on the downward slide since it s hey-day in the 90s and early 2000s.

@tiggedytiggs All islands, including private islands/stops, have port fees that cruisers pay when booking a cruise. So nothing is really free, just prepaid. The cruise companies love to make it look free though, as if they're gifting things out of the goodness of their hearts. Really the cost of "free" things is carefully calculated and paid for by cruisers well before they step foot on the ship.

I only paid $23.99 for half day water park passes! They’re always having sales the weeks leading up to the cruise! I’d advise to wait until then to purchase! Because even the full day pass I see on sale for $33!

Well, they’re definitely competing with NCL’s Harvest Cay. Pricing is similar. Food is extra on both Islands, though one cruising channel reported the food was included. It will be nice if they provide a tram from the ship which they do on Harvest Cay. It looks beautiful and there’s so much to do there. Good for Royal Caribbean for upgrading their game and providing a great experience for their guests.

It's way less than the water park at Atlantis. The splash water park for the little kids is complimentary. I don't think the prices for the water park are out of line at all.

We've been going annually to CocoCay since 1990. It used to be a secluded, private island paradise. Now it's an Americanized theme park and a major cash-grab. The former "Barefoot Beach" was only $25 and included private bar and a cabana. All gone. This commercialism will keep us away. Sad, very sad.

Yes! I am going May 20th! I am wondering what is the best place to sit at the beach? I know there is chill island to the left side and south beach all the way at the back (coming from the front) I would like the clearest waters and the least people (quiet haha) what would you recommend?

Doesn’t look like that, water park is not finished..it was noisy from all the construction. Tram? A tractor spewing exhaust fumes was pulling a trailer with seats. Only one “tram” for 4800 cruise guests.

Took our cruise and didn't get to go there cuz the dock wasn't ready yet. This was in Feb. We only took that cruise so we could go there. Had to spend two days in Naussua Bahamas. That stunk!!Changing back to Canival cruises!

@@julieslone422 Coco Cay is and has been open just not the new upgrades (waterpark, etc) which debut on May 13th. Since the dock wasn't ready means that you would still have to tender over. If the weather is bad then you can't tender over. That's the main reason for them building a dock. Although many are already completed and are upcharges which are booked on cruise planner.

Mary Stephens I didn’t go yet but will be on the Symphony of the Seas in May 11. I was wondering if Coco Cay is finished yet because we paid for a few things there. I saw some pictures last month and there was still a lot of work to do.

Toya Graham actually both pronunciations are correct. Coco Key is how locals will refer to the island vs Coca Cay as how Americans will pronounce it :)

While "Key" is the usual pronunciation, Royal Caribbean does refer to it as "Kay".
