This is my exact edc! Same make, model and caliber! You helped me change out the factory small sized grip bushings and screws with standard size so I can install better VZ grips! I’m still loving the pistol! Although, because I have carried it so much, the front sight’s white dot started rubbing off. So I had to steal from of my wife’s orange finger nail polish that she never used to repaint it 😂

THe garrison is my first 1911. I now realize why they come with just 7 rounds in the mag. Cause if you need more than that you can beat the hell out of your attacker with the gun. IM not saying its heavy more like its very very solid. It reminds me of the fire arms i used to see back in the 70s and 80s. I love the polymer lowers that are popular now but darn it you cant go wrong with the classics.

I don’t think it was a coincidence that SA discontinued the Range Officer(a bare bones 1911 with adjustable sights) and at same time rolled out the Garrison. Different grips and switched out sights and a new name with increased price $.

I picked up a used Garrions for 699.00 and got to the range and put 100rds through it with no problems. Have added a set of VZ grips but looking to add a set of Trijicon HD night sights, a Wilson trigger, a spring kit from EGW. Beautiful gun and enjoyable to shoot

I like the Springfield models and some kimber models. Anything else is way expensive and outside my abilities to buy. But rhey are greatness. If i ever hit the lottery ill get 1 of every model ever made.

I have the exact same one. It's accurate. I had two failure to feed malfunctions in the first 100 rnds, but other than that it's been great.

Hey Joe, I'm looking to buy a 1911 and I've got it narrowed down to a few i like. The Girsan match Noel, the bul armory 1911 government or the magnum research 1911 GSS. Which one do you like better? I know Bul armory makes the magnum research but is there a difference between them?
