You could create a mold from a good corner using plaster bandages. The stuff doctors use on broken limbs ;-) (also available in DIY stores). Then work black Milliput putty against it from the inside. I did that on a Bakelite phone with a similar damage and it came out good. Thanks for presenting the Fusi!

Thank you for this, I had no idea that the bases of these sets were Bakelite. Of course if the dial spring is broken you may be able to heat the end and re-shape it - I've rescued several dials that way.
