First Look at Outward

I spent a few days giving Outward a try. This is an uncompromising open world simulator-esque game about exploration and monster slaying. It took a while to get my feet under me, but there's a lot to like here. Food and consumables are potent, so preparation is king. But there's a lot to prepare for, and limited inventory space.
A sequel is upcoming, and if it improves a little on quality of life, I'll be interested. The game also offers co-op, and if you're going to try it out I recommend doing so with a friend who can watch your back.
