lmao the reason is probably the fact that it establishes the core concept of "only one player can win this" since by having streamers play the game, other players can attempt to join the temple seeds where NL died or attempt to join the temple seeds where NL won and see for themselves if it's true that they can't try a temple already won by someone else. not everyone has a gamer friend to check these things with. besides, idk about you but I'm gonna trust Devolver. most if not all the games they pick to sign a publishing deal with are actually good in my experience.

I always look up NL's references as he mentions them, and I had "Defying Gravity" from the wicked soundtrack playing in the background and it was perfectly timed to the video and swelled just as he was going through the gauntlet while Luna was tugging his hood. I love the difference in NL's and Dumbdog's playstyles. Ryan is "it's all about patience" and Apollo is "Gotta go fast" and they are both entertaining.
