Brooks and Christy, this was so fun to watch. Love the ole soda fountain places. Not many around anymore. I used to go to one as a kid in Toledo Ohio. I still remember it. Thanks so much for taking us all along with you two. God bless. Enjoying watching you kids. From NE Indiana.

The first banana split was first created in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. 1904 David, “ Doc” Strickler , an optometrist. He was inspired by the fruit laden sundaes in Atlantic City, NJ. I was watching hoping that a sugar free ice cream would be available. I am a diabetic plus lactose intolerant. I wish I could try something but it’s very hard to find something that you can enjoy without having consequences. I thought for a minute that Brooks got “ a brain freeze “ from the shake! I bet this place is packed during the summer season. Enjoy your channel and best of all, both of you!
@SmokyMtFaithFoodFun8 ай бұрын
Cindy that is awesome history! I apologize as I did not ask about sugar free but we will check on that. Easy to get a brain freeze with such good stuff 😊. They will officially open for the first time on Monday. We believe summer will be very busy.

We had an old soda shop here in town until a year ago. It had been there almost 100 years. I was so sad to see it close. I loved their cherry phosphates and chicken salad sandwiches. And the old diner style breakfasts they had. 😢 That blackberry really looked good..and so did the pb and jelly shake! Thanks for sharing! ❤

Hi Brooks & Christy. I found your channel about 2 months ago. I need you to know How much I enjoy your channel. I love how you always include our Lord in all that you do. Christy it broke my heart when you shared about loosing your family members. I lost my mother 2 weeks before Christmas. Now her & my Dad are with the Lord. Brooks I will be certainly praying for your health. We have a son around your age. I pray that God will Bless you both over & over. We all need to start looking at what’s in the heart instead of what we look like physically. Love you both.

Patricia this is so kind and encouraging and we can’t thank you enough. Brooks is very aware of his appearance and health and struggles with it but he does something every day to work on it. He doesn’t make a big deal out of it because he doesn’t want the focus on him. He gets enough of that with stares and looks. Brooks truly wants others to see Jesus in him and I and for Jesus name to be put above all. We love you too and thank you ❤️
