Serious question…whenever I watch walkthrough videos the doors are always bragged on. But when you watch KZbin user videos, almost everyone has to do modifications after they owned them awhile because the screws strip out or the door warps and doesn’t shut properly. How can the door be that good?

The service center says their doors are their biggest problems in their service center. My new Classic has a major issue with the door... they cut the door opening 1.25 inches too wide. The screen door isn't wide enough to seal. Going back to the Mothership next April to get it fixed.

You said the cushions are more comfortable but you didn’t say why. Do you know what change they made?

Did you just say the light switch for the dinette is in the bedroom?

My 1979 International is SO much better built then these new Thor owned/made models..check your doors before you buy..they brag about them but in reality they are one of the biggest issues with Airstream of late. look at the fit and finish of the interior..saw two with leaning toilets at the pomona show last year..Cant say for sure but the new ones look like they have a different quality skin...feels thinner then mine...anyway before you buy one these newer ones...look for an older one..they are much better built

In 1979, Airstream was on the verge of bankruptcy, in 1980 Wade Thompson and Peter Orthwein formed Thor to acquired Airstream. Thor is the reason we still have Airstream today! www.airstream.com/blog/the-history-of-thor-and-airstream/#:~:text=Wade%20Thompson%20and%20Peter%20Orthwein's,a%20new%20company%2C%20THOR%20Industries%2C
